We had an extremely enjoyable stay at Scott’s River Vista RV Resort (Lot 627). Our 36' motorhome fit perfectly in the site, along with our Bronco toad, making setup easy and comfortable.
During our stay, we explored several nearby attractions and trails. One highlight was the hike to Secret Falls, which is just down the road and well worth the visit. We also took a scenic loop through Sky Valley, Georgia, over to the Highlands, North Carolina area, enjoying the mountain views along the way.
For a great meal, we stopped in Franklin, North Carolina at Haywood Smokehouse for some excellent BBQ—it did not disappoint.
We also enjoyed an off-road rode through Sarah’s Creek and into the Warwoman area of the Chattahoochee National Forest, which offered beautiful forest scenery and fun driving trails.
Overall, this is a fantastic basecamp for exploring the surrounding region. The convenience, scenery, and variety of nearby activities make it an ideal spot for anyone wanting to experience the mountains, waterfalls, and small-town charm of the area.
