Creekside Tentsite Near Forest
Overall the experience was good! Things to note: You are really back in the woods behind a house kind of like a backyard but right on top of the national forest. The campsite isn’t easy to find on your own. You need to talk with the host first. The path to the campsite is short but just long enough to require a bit of sweat to get set up- it definitely isn’t a drive in. We set up one 4 man and one 2 man tent but there really wasn’t flat space for much more than that. It is Creekside but the creek was really just a trickle for us.
The fire ring is small and just some rocks, no grate for cooking and the land itself is wild- no cleared space- you are really out in the woods. Expect it to be buggy! I recommend some citronella oil.
You are close enough to the hosts barns to know people are around but still have privacy! You can easily say hi to the horses and goats which is sweet.
April was kind and accommodating!

This site and host are both terrific. The night sky is so clear and the moonlight is brilliant. Evenings were just chilly enough for a fire and then a warm sleeping bag. I’ll be back there again soon.💯

April is always the ideal host, She made our day Sunday by bringing her new baby goat, Charlie (maybe) for a visit. “Room Service” always results in hot, fresh, delicious breakfast. I highly encourage everyone to add her breakfast offer. After two clear nights with a full moon and stargazing, the trip couldn’t have been better. Thank you April. See you again soon!

The sites are all in a lovely area, but the stand-out here is the host. April is a stellar host! She is thoughtful and welcoming. I highly recommend the add-ons, especially breakfast. She made camping feel like a 5-star hotel.

April was a gracious host. We loved meeting all the animals on the farm including her three goats- Ruby, Giselle, and Baby Rose who walked us to our campsite. Campsite was rustic as advertised- secluded and private. Great location close to many north Georgia and South Carolina hikes.

The owner was very welcoming and came out to greet me when I checked in. She was able to give me directions to the event that I was attending the next day. Which was important because there’s not much signal up there for your gps.
My camping spot was near the road, which was my choice. She has options that are quieter. It can be loud during the day , however at night traffic died. so it was pretty quiet.

I had a very quick trip, so not lot's to say. Camp spot was right by the road, but there wasn't much traffic so it was ok. Friendly and accommodating hosts. I had to leave first thing in the morning, so I did not see the property.

April was kind and helpful, but the yard does not suit an rv. There’s nowhere to turn around without having to backup blind onto the highway .The animals were nice and the setting was very peaceful.

Took my 10 and 5 year-old for a 2 night camping trip. April let us pick our site, we chose the stream side site, with a view of the horse stables. We added on the breakfast (which was delivered to our tent, and absolutely delicious. Coffee, orange juice, milk, pancakes, eggs and bacon, Greek yogurt), took a tour of the farm where the kids were able to feed the chickens, ducks, goats and horses. My daughter took a riding lesson and April was a great instructor and had my daughter riding in no time. She made a friend for life with miss lady gray (beautiful white and gray speckled mare). Over all stay, the property butts up against the national forest and is quiet and tranquil. We’ll definitely be returning this summer. 10/10 April is an amazing host.

Great facility with so many opportunities to feel the farm life and camp. Definitely sign up for the many activities to enjoy there. Don’t miss out on the breakfast.

We tent camped at the creekside site and had room for three two man tents. April is a great host—will stay here again and recommend it. Property backs up to the national forest and you can walk back into it on the road in front of the site.

April was a kind and gracious host, and met us with a gift bag of goodies! She communicated well and had a lot of suggestions for us to do and see in the area. We also had a horse care experience when we were at her farm, and our kids LOVED it.
The site itself is flat and right next to a National Forest road that stretched 7 miles into the wilderness. There is a fire ring provided and a small concrete pad if you prefer that to the grass. Lots of woods around to harvest timber for the fire and a very kind barn cat who kept us company. (My kids now want a cat!) The site is visible from the main road which wasn't a concern for us with our camper. A friendly neighbor stopped by for a chat, which was charming and fun to learn about the area! Easy access to Toccoa Falls, Tallulah Gorge, etc. and about 45 minutes from Helen. Overall a fun stay with a lovely host!

April was incredibly sweet! Had a great plot of land, and gave us a goodie bag with some supplies, food, and brochures about things to do in the area. There’s a really nice river spot around 5 mins down the road. The road is a little bit loud if you’re outside but we were car camping and couldn’t hear it much inside! She was nice enough to build us a campfire pit when we inquired about, and the town is close enough for gas and supplies if needed! It was well worth the money for her hospitality and help navigating the area, and I would love to come back with more friends!
