Jan’s camping spot was perfect! Quiet and relaxing, not too far from the interstate and close enough to essentials. Loved the view, it was perfect for sunset yoga! She was great with communication and the directions were easy to follow. Definitely recommend! 😊

This place was magical, secluded and quiet. We had an amazing time staying in our little Scamp and had a fire in the pit listening to nature sounds. Jan was great and there were even little solar lamps on site that lit up some trees. I would stay here again for sure.

Waterfront Colonels Island Retreat
What a lovely spot to camp! The site is huge with level grass with lots of space to park and turn around! We loved the tall old Spanish moss covered trees and the creek and the spacious site. Jan was a great hostess who was easy to talk to and so incredibly welcoming. We put out paddle board and canoe in the creek and paddled out to the bigger waterway, it was such a fun adventure. We would totally recommend this site to others.
It is a great place to spend time, however, it would be equally useful as a spot to sleep on the way to or from Florida as it is so close to interstate 95!

We actually didn’t get to stay due to some travel issues. However, Jan was very friendly and accommodating - even being willing to switch nights for us. Perhaps we can stay on the way back as I in is gone the site is reflective of her!

We really enjoyed spending time on Jan’s site! She and her husband are wonderful hosts and greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. What a beautiful and serene spot to spend the evening. We only stayed one night. Highly recommend getting there for the sunset view over the tidal creek that runs right by the campsite. Surrounded by beautiful trees, a wooded area with walking trails and the creek. Level grassy site is located right by their home, but it was still a fairly private and lovely place. Plenty of room for a rig much larger than our Sprinter Van. Spent the morning hanging out in the swing by creek. We could have stayed much longer! Bring bug spray because those no see um’s are aggressive little buggers but they pretty much went to bed after sundown. Highly recommend Jan’s Hipcamp site!
