Great location. Beautiful property. It rained on us a good bit, but the barn w/ outdoor kitchen area was a nice place to hang w/ plenty of space. Outdoor shower and bathroom is amazing. Checked out some trails nearby at cloudland canyon.. missed Luna lake as it was not open. George was very responsive and nice to talk with. I highly respect what he is doing and has done on this property.

This was a great piece of land with a nice trail behind it that leads to a creek with plenty of room for many campers. It was nice to have potable water and a beautiful outdoor shower and toilet. I loved that there were some cats on the property that visited every now and then and the owner was very friendly and accommodating.

Magical weekend w/ kids & grandkids

We enjoyed camping at the property with our kids and grandkids. It was my daughter and son-in-laws birthday weekend. The outdoor kitchen was stocked with all the utensils you could need and all kinds of useful things. It was amazing to be able to have a warm shower after a busy day chasing kids. Having availability to power really helped us stay comfortable. We didn't really use the cabin as my kids wanted to "camp", (in tents) but it was super nice to have that option as the weather was threatening severe storms. We had a magical family weekend that will live forever in our memories. Thanks George.

Very much enjoyed the solitude and warm shelter during all the rain. The wood burning stove kept everything warm and dry. Good hot shower and clean toilet. Freedom for my pup to explore. Would stay here again.

We love this place so much! It was so peaceful & the amenities are amazing! Loved being able to take a warm shower. The neighbor horses were so beautiful and the kids loved looking at them.

This place was AMAZING! Exactly what I wanted. Not near anyone. Perfect for my antisocial self 😉. It was just me and a friend, but this place has a ton of space. I love how it as the essentials for everything. I want to bring my grown kids back. They will love it.

This was the perfect spot for my son and I. We were looking for a place close to everything (Cloudland Canyon and Lookout Mountain) and this was perfect. The owner has this place set up perfectly. There is a barn area that has a table and sink/prep area (a lot more technically if you don't bring your own stuff), a rustic cabin with electric and a full open air bathroom with an on demand water heater and normal flush toilet (more posh than we usually go for). Also two fire pit areas, plenty of trees to hang hammocks and if your adventurous on the back of the land is the connector trail to The Moonshine Trails. You could also walk to Lulu Lake if open (which has limited open days which we weren't lucky enough). There is a working horse farm next door as explained and entertaining to watch, but they were no disturbance what-so-ever. For those that are thinking about it, there was also no smell. Saw the owner out there leading some groups, but they were to themselves. The barn cats Lucky and Boo were around each day. My son loved hanging out with them. They were very affectionate. We spent a couple days just relaxing and didn't even leave. So very peaceful! Overall I just loved this place and likely will try to make my way back again.

Incredibly beautiful campsite and literally everything you would ever need to have a great trip. Insane waterfall that you can hike to directly from the campsite and the host is super grateful to help you at any time or give suggestions for anything you would need. The land is not far from most major stores like walmart or publix which goes perfect with the large open air kitchen in the barn. There was also so much space in the cabin to fit people and a big plot just outside for those that want to pitch tents and hang hammocks. Would love to come back again soon and keep exploring the mountain, the scenery was endless.

Perfect for our family get away. 3 kids 2 adults in the cabin sleep ( add a couple cats that ran the place and kept my kids extra loved. perfectly. Beautiful, fresh, everything you need. Love the location with scenery and activities near by in the cutest little town.

Great spot for a large group. We camped in a storm so the barn was an excellent security retreat for a few.
There is glass all over the ground near the fire area, which was 100% mentioned beforehand (thank you), so it would be wise to be cautious especially with pets!

We had a great time at this site. It’s private but close to a road. The barn and bath house made up for it though. Great place to camp with family looking to just hang out together.

We just spent a wonderful weekend at George’s land! The property was easy to access but very private. Everything was very well maintained and clean. Having access to the bathroom/shower (with hot water), outdoor kitchen/grill, cabin, fire pits, WiFi and trails created the perfect glamping experience. We really appreciated all the thought put into the space. I brought a lot of stuff we didn’t even need because so many comforts were already provided. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us! We’ll be back again!

What George put on his page is exactly what is there. There were no hidden surprises or misrepresentations. Beautiful, secluded property with no one around. we walked the trails out past the wood piles and I would recommend checking if Lula lake has an open day and definitely book in! The only thing we missed was seeing George's horses! Cheers!

This is a fabulous property. Very peaceful area, with easy access to all that Lookout Mountain and Chattanooga has to offer. A wonderful camping experience, with the added bonus of a bathroom facility, kitchen sink, and sleeping loft if needed. Thank you to the host for your lovely and well-maintained property. We look forward to returning!

Our second visit and it won't be our last. We love the private forest so close to all the cool stuff Chattanooga has to offer. The camp cats are precious too!

Bailey was awesomecouldn't asked for anything more from a host, informative and responsive saw him when we arrived and before we left that's it. Cabin was clean and provided great shelter for hanging out and sleeping rain or shine. Barn was big and convenient for cooking having some lights and power was great. Property was well maintained and clean, keep your shoes on though due to some broken glass from disrespectful people in years long past. Property was big and wooded enough to forget you are just less than a mile from a dollar general, which actually is pretty convenient. The bathroom was immaculate and clutch for those who need more than a hole in the ground. All in all it was everything it said it was to be and weekend trip served our group well. Recommend to anyone looking to camp with some decent amenities!

The camp was wonderful and the host was kind and responsive! The site was organized and well appointed, with everything that we needed. The dining/cooking area was cozy, there were multiple fire pits, and the cabin was great. The horses were beautiful to look at and the cats were friendly and adorable. We had two families (5 adults and 4 children) and there was more than enough room for everyone. Overall, it was a very lovely experience!

Perfect fall getaway, we wish we had more time. Great host, he was friendly but not intrusive and very responsive thru texts. He introduced us to the horses and they are lovely. The two little rescue barn kitties stole our hearts though. Our host shared that they were set to be euthanized and his vet asked him to take them and we are so glad he did. We are big keep your cats inside people for a ton of reasons but my goodness these little beasties are so happy and friendly and well cared for. The property is beautiful and has great proximity to Chattanooga. The cabin is rustic but it has plenty of power and space. The bathroom was close and clean. The outdoor kitchen was very well supplied and for fellow coffee drinkers he has a 12 cup pot, verified there was plenty of filters when I asked and a French press. The barn is holding hay bales right now so bring your own hammocking gear for any number of fabulous trees.

We had a wonderful time and the location could not be more perfect! Everything we needed was there, easy to find, and we felt right at home. Being so close to the horses was lovely and we definitely will come back again!

It was great, full kitchen, fires, woodstove, beautiful scenery, games and great location. We really enjoyed it as we were from the west coast and got a good feel for the Appalachian scenery

Wonderful private camping experience! The kids enjoyed it better than traditional tent camping. We had a very fun and relaxing time. We wish we had discovered the walking trails at the back of the property sooner. :) We hope to return one day soon!!

Great first stay and experience at George’s HipCamp! We enjoyed the privacy and the beautiful property. The bath house was clean and the kitchen area was nice. Our kids enjoyed sleeping in the cabin!

This site was awesome! We loved having the camp kitchen to prepare and clean up after meals. We had some people camp and some in the cabin. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. I loved taking a shower with the horses in sight! Friends had coincidentally stayed here a few weeks before and reminded us to bring an extra roll of TP and our own knives and cutting board if you plan on cooking.
We really enjoyed celebrating a birthday away from town in such a conviennent location.
