This was our second stay and it was a great as the first. Ashley and her staff are very accommodating and the property is absolutely beautiful. The biscuits and key lime pie at the restaurant are soooo yummy! We will definitely be go back again!

Awesome overnight stay!
This was an absolutely beautiful property, the host was awesome and a hoot to talk with, he made sure we had everything we needed before retiring for the night. I’m sure if we had forgotten anything he would have promptly got it for us. The restaurant on site was awesome, after setting up and taking a rest we called in an order for two ribeye steak dinners and a dessert of chocolate cake, walked over an picked up our meals within 15 minutes of calling. Steaks were grilled outback in a real grill. Wish we would have had more time to stay but we are planning a couple nights stay in November. Thank you!

We loved tent camping at Newell Lodge! We were welcomed as soon as we drove up and were allowed to select where we wanted to setup camp under the idyllic spanish moss covered trees. If ever camping in South Georgia again, we will for sure stay here again.

Horses Farm Heaven....!@
LOVED our stay at Buffalo Creek....super nice host Harland (hope I got that right ! ) let us park put by the horses and it was fantastic...bring carrots cuz they love em ! Huge area to camp with a little "Backwoods Bistro" which was booked up when we were there ...only open on the weekends, we will be sure to get reservations before we stay next time..Great spot when you exit or enter Florida !! We definitely will be back !!

The “Hip”est!
Our first Hipcamp experience was one worth repeating! Ashley’s location was exactly what we were hoping for… Off the beaten path and with unexpected civilized appointments like bench swings scattered around the live oaks! We will definitely plan to arrive earlier next time and with dinner reservations at the Bistro!
The landscape was typical for the area… flat and sandy with plenty of shade. The working toilets/showers were easy walking distance from our site and some would say were “clean enough!”
The horses were friendly and seemed to enjoy the attention 😎

The tent sites were perfect, nestled under oak trees and looking out on horse pasture. The area was so beautiful and well maintained and peaceful. Also the restaurant on site was amazing. We are already looking forward to another trip

Awesome camping experience!
This place was so peaceful and pretty! We met up with some friends and this was around the halfway point for both of us. We were not disappointed! We had a good bit of rain but the trees kept it from being a downpour on us. The bathrooms are spaced evenly throughout the camp, so there isn’t a long walk to get to them if you choose to camp away from other campers. One set of bathhouses has AC and heat, which we used both during our stay. The host were great! They would check daily for any trash you needed taken away and to just check to see if you needed anything else. Other than that, we were left to enjoy the campgrounds. There are lights throughout the campground so you aren’t walking in the dark, but far away enough not to notice them in your campsite. This place is definitely on our return list!

Wonderful weekend
Newel Lodge was wonderful! They were very friendly and accommodating. The father greeted us and showed us all around, we RV camped by the horses, it was beautiful and serene! We fed the horses, pet them, and the kids were able to fish and wander in the field while the horses roamed. They have the friendliest horses around! The food from the restaurant was great as well!!!

Relaxing stop in Southern GA
Our stay at Newell Lodge was short, sweet, and so relaxing. We hope to come back in the future! The oak trees were so beautiful and the amenities were great. We loved the presence of the horses and cow across the field.

A Real Gem
I had an excellent experience, enjoying having the entire property to myself and recommend it highly. Although electric and water were available in a field I chose to set up my RV in a more private location and dry camped instead. This beautiful property provided many opportunities for walking and exploring as well as enjoying the natural setting and seclusion that I prefer. My site was completely level, and I did not need to use leveling blocks.
The property is located off a well-maintained wide and flat dirt road, about a mile and a half from a main road. It was not an issue when I arrived. Therefore I was surprised to discover what happens to the road after a heavy rain, as it rained heavily the night before I left. The rain turned the road into a slippery and muddy mess, and it was quite treacherous traveling in my four-wheel-drive tow vehicle pulling a 22 foot travel trailer. It felt like traveling on snow and ice and we had trouble controlling our vehicle, in spite of driving less than 10 miles an hour.
The road is not a problem in dry weather for RVs of any size nor should it be a problem in wet weather if tent camping.
I am looking forward to returning for another stay and would not let the road interfere with my pleasure, as my camping experience was excellent, but I would be more aware of the weather the next time I camp.

We loved camping, the location was beautiful, Ashley was very helpful, we plan last minute to go to the Swampfire bistro, excellent food, shrimp was delicious, so many options and cooked to serve, they take reservations, but we were able to walk in, everything was so good, (next time i'm looking forward to trying the shrimp and corn chowder, new item on the menu) the landscape was relaxing, and beautiful . l love hearing the horses during the night in the background, Ashley dad was just awesome and so helpful, we enjoyed just talking to him (esp. my husband) we were able to get a fire ring and wood for our campfire, there are bathrooms with a hot shower, very nice and clean, we did not get to go horseback riding but next time, (i had to cancel unfortunately). we tent camp, however there are cabins options, this is definitely on our list to return and with a bigger group, they have the land and accommodations to support your group. the grounds are clean, beautiful trees with the moss hanging, there are electrical and water spigots if you need those necessities, i highly recommend this jewel

Camping Amongst Live Oaks
Ashley’s place, and Ashley, are amazing! The campsite was under a canopy of live oak, was spacious, and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights there and would recommend it to all. Additionally, the Swamp Fire Bistro was delicious!

It was a beautiful peaceful setting that was super clean and well maintained. Felt very secure and safe. The gentleman that check us in was wonderful and checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. Can’t wait to go back.
