The Brown Bungalow
2NiteSoloGetAway BEST DECISION EVA
Ms. Junetta & her space are both incredible. The brown bungalow is EVERYTHING & it has everything! The outdoors (bugs included) are all RIGHT OUTSIDE (right where I wanted them). I enjoyed walking the different wide and clearly marked trails to the creek & back. The food was DELICIOUS and homemade & massage from LaShanda (spelling?) was the perfect beginning to my stay. The bungalow is perfect for a couple or less & the grounds look like a party waiting to happen (family reunion/company or organization retreat?). I can't say enough about the care Ms. Junetta took to be certain I had everything, understood everything & most importantly felt cared for. I WILL be back. (Visit end of Mar '22) THANK YOU MS. JUNETTA!!!!

Tent Camping @ the BoMax
A lovely family camping experience
We can't say enough how refreshing it was for our family to camp out at Bomax! Junetta, our host, was very responsive and you can feel the love she has poured into this campground. We will certainly be back and will be recommending it highly to our friends. We'll also be recommending the space as an event venue for groups! If you're considering this location, look no further! You've found a great place to enjoy nature here.

Tent Camping @ the BoMax
First trip to BoMax
My family and I decided to take a weekend away. Our vote was to go camping. The first thing that I noticed when we got there is that there was a section for RVs to park, along with a nice portable bathroom to use if needed. Farther along on the property was a Glam camping cabin. We also saw several areas on the property that allowed you to camp either on the ground with your tent or on a platform. We decided to camp on the ground. There’s also a fire pit in which we used to cook all of our food. The best thing that I saw about BoMaxx ranch was the trail that ended at a creek . It is about a 30 to 40 minute or even longer walk to and from the front of the property where the general store is. On the way you can see makeshift areas where it looks like maybe hunting had happened on the property at one point in time. Lots of room for you to go on an adventure . My son absolutely loved the trail walk. The owner, Junetta is so sweet and welcoming that we will definitely be back again.

Great for large events.
BoMax was the perfect space for us to host our inaugural event, The Gathering. With over 100 people on the property, it still felt spacious. We enjoyed this entire property.

The Brown Bungalow
Perfect Getaway
Thia review is overdue, but I stayed at the Brown bungalow a couple of weeks ago and it was by far one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. Junetta went above and beyond at every step. Even though we arrived later than expected, she was still there to greet us personally. Everything from the greeting to the actual campsite was perfect. The picture’s honestly don’t do it it justice. It looks so much better in person and it has plenty of space. Hiking the trails (which are named after Junetta’s ancestors) was also really great, peaceful and plenty to see. Already in the process of planning the next trip!

The Brown Bungalow
Not Goodbye...See You Soon, Bo Max!
What an awesome experience for our first glamping event ever – Bo Max Ranch and Retreat really provided us with the space we needed to explore, unwind and try new things. The interactions with the host leading up to our trip were very helpful for preparations –being new to glamping and even camping in general – we had lots of questions. The app provided us with an easy way to reach out to the host with questions and the responses were always prompt and very detailed. We left our home much later than expected due to bad weather and arrived later than anticipated, deep into the dark night – our concerns on coming in the dark were cleared when the host shared very straight forward suggestions and even obliged to meet us during check in per our request. The site was glorious to drive into (yes, even late at night) – with pathway lights, signs and even our beautiful brown bungalow was lite and very welcoming. Only pictures could explain! Everything we needed was in bungalow and even things we didn’t know we’d need were available. The digital map on our eat in table was very helpful in explaining the area and our first night was filled with a lot of anticipation for the next few days. We were able to visit the general store, a quaint and gloriously decorated space, and found many awesome trinkets for our trip and even souvenirs for our family. It was easy navigating around the store and the host allowed us to really take our time to browse and answered questions real time. We enjoyed rock mining and hiking and landed at the creek which my 13-year-old thought was amazing seeing a creek for the first time. Later we hiked and really explored the property – bumping into many new creatures (especially birds and bugs) and wrapped up our hike at the relaxing and somehow quiet flowing creek which was a welcomed brief break before the hike back. We then did some rock mining and collected several awesome glistening rocks that my daughter has already given pet rock names for her rock collection. At the end of each day, it was a welcome retreat to arrive back to our little brown bungalow nestled among the trees as the sun went down. The solar lights led the way to our bungalow and the fire pit surrounded by even more lights provided not only a place to unwind outside but also a great place to take pictures. Our bungalow was super clean and lacked nothing in the area of amenities. Even a Thermacell with fresh packs to ward off mosquitoes was waiting for us. Ending our day watching the fireflies flicker as the night came alive rocked us to sleep. We had one issue that I created and had to contact the host to help me resolve. They responded promptly and quickly resolved the issue – clean, no mess and unobtrusive. We wrapped up our final night with a campfire and took the opportunity for one final exploration of the site while listening to the animals quietly plan their nighttime retreat. The next morning what seemed like a million birds woke me for my last awesome cup of coffee on the deck. The host met us to make sure we had all we needed and provided a heartfelt bon voyage and safe journey wish which we replied, “It's not goodbye; it's see you very soon”.
