Treasure Island NPR currently offers several RV/camper sites and a few vacation rental homes, a 'community' campsite, and dock (with kayaks available for use), all within just a few steps from each other. The RV/camper sites have power and water hookup available with a sewer dump nearby if needed. The campsites are along the northern most property, closest to the shared campground, grilling deck, and dock (where the kayaks are available for use). Tropical Suite (6135) offers a room for two, with a private balcony overlooking the bayou and access to the pool. The backyard boasts a large pool, grilling area with your choice of a green egg or gas grill, a hammock and porch swing. Hidden Treasure (4915) is a three bedroom home along the interior of the island, with a king bedroom, master bath, and two queen size bedrooms. The spacious yard provides for plenty of outdoor games, such as volleyball, badminton, and croquet. Northern Point (4924) is a three bedroom, one bathroom home with an enclosed glass lanai (sitting room) and a pool overlooking the water. One bedroom has a king bed, another a queen, and the last has two twin beds. Castaway on Treasure Island NPR (4848) is a one bedroom, one bathroom home with queen bed. A screened lanai offers a peaceful sitting area with a view of the water. This accommodation is an RV slip with water and an electric hook-up and a sewer dump within a short distance from the slip. Here, you can sit and relax, enjoying the outdoors or BBQ some of your favorite meals! There is a lovely trail in the neighboring woods where you can enjoy a quiet walk or sit back and relax. You may park an additional vehicle alongside your RV should you bring one. This lot is on a dead end road so there is very little traffic. We are located on a small, forgotten island of only twelve homes in New Port Richey. The lots at the northern end of the road are where you will find our community kayak launch and campground for guests of Treasure Island NPR: *The kayak launch area is where you will find the kayaks, a dock with another crab trap, and an area to safely launch a kayak. Life vests can be found in the large plastic box nearby. Take note of the tides, as the canal becomes VERY shallow during low tide, so planning your trip within 4 hours of a high tide is usually the safest bet. Set sail and enjoy some time on the water. *The community campground boasts a covered grilling area, picnic tables, swings, bicycles, chairs around the fire pit, and a small path through the neighboring woods. Lights are strung along the grilling area and controlled through use of the Alexa device above the minifridge. Enjoy outdoor games, relax in the swings, or take a leisurely walk through the woods. At the end of the day, light a fire in the fire pit and enjoy talking with your friends and family while you roast marshmallows. What a great way to end the day!
