All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
Welcome to our geodesic dome, equipped with a fridge, A/C, and electricity for your comfort. While staying with us, you'll have access to a shared bathroom nearby, as well as an outdoor shower, fire pit, and BBQ on the property—all available for your use with our permission. Experience the magic of falling asleep under the stars as you gaze through the ceiling of the dome. Ideal for couples or small families, our quiet camper surroundings offer a serene escape, coupled with the allure of beach life. Book your vacation and immerse yourself in a treetop canopy retreat, just steps away from one of the best surf breaks in the area. Surf lessons are also available for those looking to ride the waves and make the most of their coastal getaway.Sleeps 4, maybe 5. Not 7. Dont know where hipcamp got 7... Dome site is tucked under a tree canopy, a short walk to a surfer beach. Close to a bathroom, open air outside shower, and fire pit, A/C, mini-heater, fan, and mini-fridge included. If 1 or 2 people stay, the queen bed is made up with a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a comforter, and 4 pillows. (2 shams, 2 pillows.) There is a couch as well. If 3 or 4 people stay, the queen is set and ready, and the couch is converted to a bunk. Twin beds with sheets and a comforter on each bed. The couch pillows become the twin bed pillows. Bring extra pillows if you like your creature comforts. We also try to keep extra blankets and a couple of towels available. On the subject of showers, The outside open air shower is cod water. If hot water is desired with the outside shower, a 5 gallon solar heated bag is placed in the sun on the high table next to the surfboard shower. A private shower tent is behind dome with its own shower bag. 1 power strip of electricity provided. 5G internet network and works very well on the common area porch. Dome is carpeted, and the ground under the carpet is ... ground.. lumpy and a bit bumpy, but like a tent. Be aware of the dips and lumps. There is a river too. Kayaks at sunset, anyone? This is a real treat for any nature or beach lover.

This campsite offers a unique and peaceful yurt experience, perfect for those looking to enjoy the tranquility of nature. The location is very convenient for beach lovers, though it may not be ideal for families with small children due to its walkability. Guests have appreciated the friendliness and hospitality of the hosts, John and Gay, along with their dogs, Paco and Pepita. Some have noted minor drawbacks like a plasticky smell and a lack of privacy in the shower, but the overall experience remains positive and enjoyable.

Simple and quiet.
My best friend and I enjoyed our first yurt camping experience. John, the onsite host, was kind and very hospitable. Location is walkable to the beach, though I wouldn’t recommend for families with small children. The location is quiet and private.

With kids
We liked a lot about this stay. It's across from the beach and an easy walk there. The dome is really cute and the beds are comfortable. The space around the dome is great with picnic tables, beautiful trees, and a fire pit. Things we didn't enjoy were the plasticky smell inside the dome with little venting options and the shower-cold and totally in the open, no privacy. It would be good for rinsing after the beach though. Overall, we had a great time in the area.

DOME IS HOME
Spacious and comfy, the surfer dome was a unique stay in an beautiful environment hosted by accommodating folks JOHN AND GAY. Bonus Dogs...Paco and Peppita! Short walk to a limited access stretch of beach ...lots of turtle signs...and right near Sebastián inlet as well as s any number of other top notch beaches with free parking. Sleeping in a dome was unique and enjoyable..AC mini fridge and a little coffee set up made it comfy. The surf shop has GREAT STUFF as well as a common area front porch for lounging and access to bathroom. The hosts on site were very easy going and accommodating. Id definitely go back...a wonderful little paradise.
