The campsite sits on second-growth forest in the Santa Fe river basin. There was logging of the first-growth wood, and turpentining. I found a tree face with a turpentine pot when I bought the place. The Santa Fe river starts in Lake Santa Fe, then meanders until it goes underground at O'Leno State Park, near High Springs. After re-emerging above ground, the river is fed by a number of freshwater springs. It flows west for several miles and is joined by the Itchetucknee river, and together they empty into the Suwannee River which flows to the gulf. There are many boating, floating, fishing and nature-watching opportunities in the area. The cabin started off as a screened pavillion, with a tin roof and concrete floor. It's undergone recent renovations, including the installation of antique windows that came from the Hippodrome theater building. There are windows running the length of the cabin on both sides, with screened open air sections above to invite the breeze. Ceiling fans and a floor fan are present as well.  Clear panels and another window fill the rear wall. This gives the cabin a light and breezy feeling, tucked into nature. It's simply furnished, with curtains in the sleeping area. Learn more about this land: Private best describes my camp. Once you book the campsite (or cabin) I block the other one so you and your party have the place to yourselves. In addition to my cabin site, I am offering a bare bones campsite for those who need just that. It is suitable for those with a tent, campervan, or a truck with small camper, or a small rv. It includes level parking, a 110v outlet, a water connection to the well, a bath house with a flush toilet and a warm water shower. Campers have access to an outdoor kitchen, a communal area with seating around the firepit and a children's play area.

Great Experience!
What an awesome spot! Lee was easy to communicate with, and the space was just as described! It's such a pleasure to find these amazing, private, well-appointed camp spots without having to deal with the crowds at campgrounds. Having electricity and hot running water/shower is a welcome bonus-and we were able to make a full Thanksgiving meal on the grills provided. It's quiet and peaceful, and we would definite return for another relaxing weekend in the woods. Thanks Lee!

What a lovely place! Very responsive, gracious host. The cabin was comfy, had everything we could possibly want or need and we loved how there were windows all the way around the cabin. It was peaceful and relaxing. We even saw some deer walking through the property. Our dog LOVED IT HERE - he didn’t want to leave. And the horse trailer turned into a bath house was very clever and worked great - plenty of hot water. Thank you so very much Lee - it was a wonderful stay.

Perfect Little Cabin
It was very clean. Lots of outside seating options. I love the bathroom, the idea of turning an animal trailer, to a bathroom and shower. Very cute. It was very well lit at night to go from the cabin to the bathroom. The host gave clear directions how to get there. 15 minute ride from the Springs. I would run stay there again.

Private campsite, with flush toilet
Good location for group camping
This site was very nice. We loved the little kitchen area and the table with inset sink was super useful. There was plenty of space for car toppers, lots of flat ground for tents, and perfect trees for hammocks! We truly appreciated all of the chairs available around the campfire area which made for relaxing evenings. As mentioned, there was plenty of firewood around for scavenging. It is a perfect spot for anyone with a boat as there is a ramp just down the road that drops you right onto the Santa Fe. It is a perfect home base for anyone wanting to enjoy the springs, especially Ichetucknee. There was a trash bin and a recycling bin provided, making it easy to keep clean. I will say that it is not as private as stated in the description. There are a number of houses right there; many of which have very loud dogs when new people are near (and especially if you bring a dog). We had planned for small fireworks (it was New Years) and some music, and felt conscious with neighbors nearby. Overall, we would 100% stay there again now knowing where our expectations should be. The proximity to natural areas is wonderful, plus there are a few amenities nearby (Publix, gas stations, etc), to replenish ice or any other needs.

Great little camper cabin! Rustic but with certain creature comforts. Close to all the Sante Fe River and the springs have to offer. 10-15 minutes to the town of High Springs, which has a brewery, good Restaurants, boutiques, etc. Lee has really set the Cozy Cabin up nice! Would definitely return!

Private campsite, with flush toilet
3 kids/small RV-amazing place.
We (M&D, 3 kids under 8) brought our small RV trailer here (18 ft.) It is a private lot of land where our kids can run and play. 50 amp hook up. Full clean water hook up Toilet on site saves you the hassle of having to use yours on the trailer. Far better set up than it sounds. Shower unused but available. Play equipment around for kids. Space to run and "explore". All amenities as discribed, fire pit, etc. Stars at night are amazing. Deer out along the roads morning and night. 2 Local small towns within mins. Plenty of natural springs/rivers for swimming, hiking, and boating within 25 minutes. Including several state parks and local parks. Canoe the Santa Fe River with shuttles up river. Only note to prepare for is morning dew is thick and falls off the trees almost like rain and morning ground is soaked. We used rain boots around grounds. But by mid day it was dry dirt and the shade keeping it cool is worth it. If we were in tents I would plan with additional tarps etc.

Wonderful shaded camp!
Lee’s slice of earth is absolutely delightful. The cabin is very solid and cozy. The entire camp is well shaded but there’s also plenty of sunshine in the main area. The water is delicious and cool. The shower is warm with lots of pressure. There are a couple options for composting toilets including one you can move around for extra privacy and convenience. The neighborhood is extremely safe and great for families. The river is walking distance. Highly recommended.

What an amazing stay!! There’s a reason why I’ve stayed here so many times, it has everything you need to feel comfortable, while being outdoors. My family loves it, very kid friendly, tons of space, very private, and a great value. Oh, did I mention the deer in the front yard, just about every morning??.Highly highly recommend staying here

Cozy, funky rustic cabin
Myself, my wife and 5 year old son, had a very peaceful time staying here. This cabin had the luxuries of a nice bed to lay in, fans and electric outlets, fridge, a lot of great amenities. Also, the site is nice and private, tons of wildlife, fire pit and even a playground for the kids. As far as lee, the host, she goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and she responds to your texts within minutes. Great place to stay if you’re going to the many nearby springs or if you just want to disconnect from society and get reacquainted with nature. Peace, quiet and very comfortable! Definitely would stay again. 👍🏽

Incredible River Retreat
Very quiet and peaceful and an exceptional river escape. Very close to the Santa Fe River and 10-25 minutes between many spring and river parks and activities. Great place to camp off the map in the north FL woods and an awesome place! 5 stars for me!
