This is a great primitive camp on its way to being awesome! Big fire rings. Bring your own firewood or use the available tree fall. The picnic tables and chairs were very nice. The evening lights make the site magical.
The host is nice and helpful. She answers questions quickly. She has a nice place and is constantly working on improving the camp sites.
Note - this is a rural farm area. You will hear cows, roosters, dogs, coyotes, and other farm noises. I really enjoyed listening since I’m a city dweller.

On a weekend trip Cousin Dave and myself decided to try out hipcamp for a primitive tent site and we really enjoyed our stay at coyote! Jessica directed us to our site and was super nice. Was a great place to build a fire and relax for a few days but still only a short drive to the parks, springs/river and restaurants. We both said we looked forward to seeing the place again in the future!

Jessica was a wonderful host. She answered all of my questions and met all of my needs. The area is spacious and the night lighting is delightful.
It's like paradise. The local roosters don't understand time. They get vocal around 5-5:30am, but I'm an early riser, so I was happy to here them.
I highly recommend this location and I will return the next time I'm in the area.

Love the intentionality of the area and host was very kind. They met us out by the camping area and introduced us then gave us our space to set up and enjoy our night. Great area.

Nice place to stay for a couple nights. Super private and mostly peaceful. While you are secluded there are sounds from neighboring farms.

I enjoyed spending one night at Jessica’s camp site. The property is located at the back of a neighborhood along a sandy access road, which parallels the camp sites. The road is a little tight and the turn into Jessica’s property requires a good amount of attention when entering with a trailer, mine is 21’. Jessica mentioned that she also owns the adjoining property which can be used to enter the camp sites, which has an easier, more open entry point, from the access road. The sites are shady and I enjoyed looking at the open pasture across the road from the camp site.

Had a great time. I forgot to bring firewood so the owners of the property brought over a whole wagon full of wood just to be nice and we're overall very nice and accommodating.

Jessica was kind and welcoming. You can tell she is putting her heart and soul into her dream to make this a great spot for campers. The adorable goat Anakin stole the show. Two pieces of advice for future visitors - especially if you have dogs, bring tick prevention. Jessica was helpful to share hers with me and to let me know that although she sprays the property there are ticks (it’s woods in Florida it’s going to happen) but we did come home with a few hitchhikers despite our best efforts. Also to no fault of the hosts, outside of their control is the noise. it’s central Florida farm country - there’s surrounding farm animal noises, namely barking guard dogs on neighboring properties. Bring earplugs if you’re a tent camper, you’ll hear them at night. I loved seeing fireflies at night - haven’t seen them since I was a kid living up north, never seen them living in Florida! Overall I think when things are fully up and running this will be a great spot for RV’s looking for some wilderness, off the beaten path and away from your cookie cutter parking lot style parks. I truly hope Jessica gets to see her vision come to life.

We had a very nice stay at Bear Trax campground. Jessica and her family were great hosts. They were all warm and welcoming to us and our THREE dogs who were allowed to free roam with the host's 2 pups. You don't see that everywhere. The site had plenty of room for our 33-foot Class-C motorhome and the firepit was set up and waiting for us. We will definitely camp here again in the future, since we are also fans of Dunnellon, FL. Great river fishing, restaurants and antique and arts'n'crafts shopping!!
