Peggy’s land is quiet and private but so close to shopping, beaches, and historical sites. It was the perfect stopover on my trip. Warm and welcoming, it’s a wonderful place to exhale - this Hipcamp is a keeper! Thank you for blessing me, Peggy!

Peaceful Wooded RV Spot
I enjoyed how peaceful it was on this property. It was very easy to pull in and out of with good water, sewer and electricity access. The wildlife out there was great with squirrels, turtles and lots and lots of birds. Fairly easy access to good shopping and the historic district of Fernandina.

The Lofton retreat was a wonderfully quiet and private spot to camp. Full hookups. Hosts were super nice. They had a flower waiting for us. Surroundings awesome for the nature minded.

Unfortunately we arrived late and spent there only one night but it was a great experience! The owners are nice and helpful people, and their campsite is beautiful, clean and very peaceful. We’d like to go back when we’ll have the chance to.
I’d recommend Margaret’s land to everyone!

My husband and I absolutely loved Lofton Retreat. Peggy was so kind. She brought over our fresh dozen of eggs and a little flower arrangement to put on the picnic table. It was so peaceful and the grounds are so beautiful. On our last day we finally got to see Walker ( the turtle) We also enjoyed taking our 4x4 Camper van out on the beach at Amelia State Park only $2 per person. We can’t wait to come back again!

We loved this beautiful quiet camp near Fernandina. There are lots of trees, a safe place to walk the pooch, and lots of privacy. It was a great base camp to explore Amelia Island in the surrounding area. Peggy and Rick we're we're also very helpful and readily available.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Lofton Creek! It's a beautiful quiet setting. We felt like we were camping in the woods. The hosts were wonderful, too. They gave us a lot of suggestions for restaurants and things to do.

This was a wonderful site! Everything we love about Hipcamp. Plenty of room for our dogs to roam and play; friendly hosts and lovely property. Convenient to Amelia Island and St. Mary’s Georgia too.

From the wonderful and warm welcome to the peaceful haven that this site provides, everything was a welcome respite! Peggy and Rick felt like family soon after our arrival and Sophie's greeting the next day added another family dimension for our own pups, and us! We unfortunately had to cut our stay short due to weather (Milton!) but really hope to return someday soon! The campsite is so quiet and peaceful, many plants labeled and paths are cleared for exploration. The full hook ups and provisions (trash bin, firewood, fresh eggs, etc.) add great comfort for an extended stay. It is also a very convenient location for all that the area offers. The hosts kindly share information for the many options in their welcome gift bag. They are readily available and quick to respond but also leave lots of space for privacy.

Perfect place to get away from the hustle and hustle of life. Host's were very friendly and Sophia was a perfect pup to visit with ours. We will definitely come back.

Margaret and her husband were amazing. We stayed there after being evacuated from Fort Clinch during hurricane Helena. They contacted us during the night and offered for us to come take shelter in their home if needed during the storm. The site was easy in and level. Definitely will stay here again.

We loved this site and the hosts so much we almost want to keep it a secret. Beautiful spot, incredible hosts, and is now in our top 3 favorite spots of all time. You won’t regret booking this site but we may regret sharing all this it when it’s booked year round 😉

It was such a beautiful campsite! Very peaceful private and well maintained. We loved the gopher turtles. The host where so amazing as well. We enjoyed our time and hope to be back soon!

This is a beautiful spot to enjoy while in the Yulee/Amelia Island area. A perfect place for accessibility to the beach, shopping and dining. And also wonderful just to sit under your awning in the mornings and enjoy the local wildlife and nature setting. The hookups were in great condition and we had no issues during our stay. Our hosts made us feel welcome and we left already making plans to return soon.

This is the perfect spot and our 40' Class-A fit just fine. It's only 30amp, so can't be a power hog, but the grounds are big, quiet and perfect to let pups off leash for all the smells. The location is very convenient to Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island (25 minutes) but tucked away in rural area for you to really camp with trees and nature and sounds, not stay
In a 'parking lot' resort with other campers and no trees or shade. You get plenty of privacy in a well maintained acreage spot with hosts close enough if you ever need them. The hosts are amazing with their Furbaby who is sweetest girl. We are so glad we found this spot with pricing being fair (hard to find these days) and well worth the stay. It's like I was let in on a secret and torn to share or keep it all to myself.

Quiet location, close to stores and attractions. Got a bite to eat at Steffens, by recommendation of host. Food was awesome. Site was sandy, used 4wd low to get our solitude fifth wheel in and out with no problem. Host was extremely helpful and informative. Full hookup, very nice. We highly recommend this site!

Margaret’s place was great! Location was very easy to get to - nice quiet neighborhood- & the actual camping spot was perfect! You had your own private spot- with all the hook ups! The icing on the cake was the host- Margaret! She warmly welcomed us- gave needed info& was available if we needed anything! We would definitely return when in the area!-

Great place! Quiet, beautiful and close to Amelia Island for beaches and other activities.

The camp was easy to find. It was just down the road from highway 95 and just as close to the beaches. Margaret, the host greeted me at the gate and showed me to the site. It was so beautiful because all the azaleas were In Bloom. I had ordered some extras like firewood and farm fresh eggs. I had bought local shrimp nearby and I had the best dinner cooked over the fire. That night. I could hear owls and I saw a deer out the window of my van. The hosts were so nice and I enjoyed my talk with Margaret by the picnic bench. I am definitely coming back here.
