Perfect little spot to spend the night. We walked to our manatee boat excursion the next morning and were back before checkout time.
It’s right on the main road but the road is pretty much dead quiet at night.
A decent amount of restaurants/bars in walking distance

Charming “Old” Homasassa

We enjoyed the small town feel of Homosassa. The restaurants and people were so friendly and warm. (Go check out Crumps - a favorite!!) We enjoyed meeting so many new people. The folks at River Safari are great, too. The site is a short drive from a Publix and Walmart if you need anything. We do want to note that the parking area site is actually two sites - one a Hipcamp and the other Harvest Host. As a guest, you will be monitored by camera. There is also a large rental house with foot traffic from the house to the main road, an art gallery open on weekends, and an adjacent rental unit - so be open to frequent passersby, including abundant wildlife. This is not a private site. Traffic on the main road is loud during work commute times. We valued the close proximity to Homasassa Springs. Our Hipcamp host was very responsive. Thank you for hosting us and sharing your neck of the woods!

Stayed one night and everything was perfect. Easy to find and good locaton. We walked in the evening to the marina and ate at the Monkey bar overlooking monkey island which we really enjoyed. The next morning we had an airboar ride with River Safaris which is next door and saw Dolphins and other wildlife. We had a great stay at Charles place and Homosassa. Would highly recommend.

Super fun to pop up camp here and visit different parks to paddleboard and snorkel around the manatees. We rode our electric scooters to town and saw Monkey Island. Great gift shops. Restaurants. Fabulous place to eat called Crumps I think across the river, about 10 minute drive. Water and electric was available. Road noise is annoying but bearable for the location.

Nice level cement pad, only 20 or 30 ft to one of the main roads in Homossasa.
Good power and water, no sewer
Close to many local restaurants, Walmart and other stores about 10 min away

This place is a simple concrete pad with water and electricity! It’s perfect for a quick over night stay to visit Monkey Island , several bars and restaurants with live music and watch the sunset by the river! Charles was always quick to respond! Great place and would stay here again! Thanks for the accommodations!

Very nice level site with water and electric. Within walking distance to restaurants/ water either direction. Ice cream across the street. Road noise is a little much but we were able to block it out.

Cement pad area with large trees in the yard. Situated next to a busy road so road noise was pretty constant. There is one picnic table to share with the two sites. Not much green space as the back side area of the rental home as the RV site rentals are not allowed to use that area. The front area was also not available the first day as a sales vendor was set up . After they left we had a bit more space to walk the dogs. Good for a quick one night stay or if you have bikes or scooters to roam around. If driving just a motor home it’s probably not the best for longer stays.

We were told that the site was tight-and it was, but, I managed to back our Ram and 28 foot trailer into place with 3 or 4 back and forth manouvers as there was another unit in the adjoining spot. The pad is concrete and level. TAlthough the site is right next to a street, the noise was minimal. I think wifi was supposed to be available but we could never connect. Just used our own data. Close to everything in Homosassa. The bottom line is that we would rebook this site for sure.

This is a great location in Homosassa. It is right off Yulee Road but really not noisy at night. You have a concrete pad, 50 amp & water.
Charles was a great host & answered any questions we had. Two Pops is next door for breakfast. Close to lots of restaurants & th8ngs to do. We really enjoyed staying there.

The pad was a little tight for 2 campers, water pressure and power was ok
the site had quite a few cigarette butts and small trash.
The wifi was not very reliable. The other campers were not around much, but when they were there seemed to be a lot of shouting. Also they seem to have a cat they let run free, even when they were not home(kind of a problem with our 2 dogs).

Over all good camping, being close to the main road in Homosassa meant
some road noise, but not too bad at night.
Could have been a little cleaner, lots of cigarette butts and small trash around, neighbors(spot #1) were noisy at times.

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we were not disappointed. Jacob Tree RV parking is located on a beautiful property surrounded by gorgeous trees. Although located near a street, the noise level was minimal. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. If needed, golf cart rentals are available. We enjoyed a beautiful 3 hour river cruise from the Safari River Cruise shop located right next to the RV spot. Our host answered my call immediately and was very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely come back!

Unfortunately we were unable to stay. We have a 34 foot 5th wheel. We could have maneuvered into the spot, but not without going into the yard. There had been a lot of rain, and did not want to put ruts or tear up the lawn. We were also afraid we would get stuck and have to be towed out. It is a single wide drive to enter property and then turns into a double. We were unable to make the swing without going into the grass. The owner was very apologetic and promptly refunded our money.

Jacob's Tree was absolutely beautiful, the trees were breathtaking. It was very quite during the night, somewhat noisy during the day as a lot of traffic goes by, but lots of things to explore and places to eat all within walking distance. 10/10 recommended
