I was out on the lake—it was peaceful. Yet behind all that, there’s this wooded area just sitting there, full of potential. If they listed the property on Worldpackers, HelpX, and Workstay, they could bring in a crew of work-trade travelers and build out an entire mountain bike park in the woods. It’d be sick—all powered by people looking to trade labor for a place to stay.
There are already some hippie types turning part of the land into a sustainable, organic farm. They could list that on WWOOF and grow it into something big. That old Airbnb building? Perfect for a farm-to-table restaurant. Bring in the guy with the smoker, use the produce from the farm, bass from the lake—bam, gluten-free, lake-to-table, farm-to-table cuisine.
You’d have hang gliding, mountain biking, organic farming, all built and run by workstay folks. It’s a story people want to be part of. They could host RVers through Harvest Hosts too, share the whole story and let people experience it firsthand.
If I owned that land, that’s what I’d do. You don’t need cash to get started—you just need people and a vision. I’d hire a promoter and say, “Fly your plane down to our airstrip, grab some BBQ, enjoy the trails, try hand gliding and eat fresh from the land.”
Tell ’em: “We built our own Valmont-style bike park—powered by travelers and vision.” There are tons of people out there looking to build something real. That land is just waiting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paradise, aptly named. Easy check-in, wonderful and helpful folks all around. Quiet stay with incredible variety of birds and wildlife. We will be back and are thankful for the experience.

Went for a quick getaway. Brought my motorcycle expecting to ride but enjoyed the hang gliding so much I mostly stayed around campsite. Victoria was very nice and check in was a breeze. Look forward to returning soon.

Absolutely beautiful campsite for primitive camping. Has access to multiple flushing toilets, multiple showers. Swimming pool plus kayaks/paddle boats for the lake. Bring bug spray because the mosquitos are vicious at night but it's a beautiful spot with plenty to do to keep you entertained. The host was super nice and even came to the site to give us a run down of things to do and what to expect. 10/10 to her and this campground.

Home of Paradise, Is the best camp 🏕 spot for me and my family. The host Victoria and her father Mr. Mike are very friendly and my your stay comfortable. The lake always feels great. My son loves the fishing and my daughter loves ❤️ the kayaking. So there's something for all of us. Oh yeah, the pool is always at the perfect temperature 🌡 👌. We give Home of Paradise 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Great performance 👏 guys. And thank 😊 you.

Second time we camp here. It’s just amazing, cozy and private. Amazing lake, our dog loves to run free and get into the water. Using kayaks and fishing it’s a must here! We will repeat for sure

Check in and check out were a breeze and Victoria couldn’t have been more kind or helpful. The land was absolutely beautiful. We camped next to the lake, under a tree and had full view of the wide open field and the planes flying. There was hangliding and little planes you could go up in. It was amazing to watch. We weren’t close to any other campers and the privacy and quiet was perfect. The showers were hot and so cute. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much Victoria!

Awesome experience!, mike it’s super nice and the primitive campsites next to the lake are super cool. It’s amazing to think how close it’s to almost everything (Clermont, Kissimmee, etc). We will repeat!

It is just as it reads, your camping on an open runway. Big grassy area is runway on both sides. Don't expect quiet, highway runs right behind the camp. But it is entertaining to watch the air sports. Not for everyone. Got showers are nice.

Watching gliders take off from my camper makes this site truly awesome! That alone makes this place worth it.
Walking 300 yards to use the bathroom, not so much. Long term renters are all close to the showers/bathrooms. short terms are across the grass flightline. Showers are a conex box with about 3-4 showers. I’m camping so it got the job done for us.
No need for electric, they have tent sites right next to the water for $25!!
Victoria is a great host. Super awesome and easy to contact.
Where else can you camp and hang glide??
This place is pretty cool.

This was our 2nd time camping here. Our 1st time was New Years 2021/2022 & it was so fun we decided to come back with more family for Thanksgiving & it was better than I could’ve asked for. Great weather, watching drones & gliders on the runway, lake activities, family time (with 16 kids nobody wanted electronics all day!) clean showers/bathrooms, campfire, s’mores, volleyball. Definitely a great place to disconnect from city life without really leaving the city.

We love staying here and so do our woofers, pups must be on leashes at all times - it is an active airport, but there are tons of spots to walk them and exercise them, from the lake in the daytime and the fields at night. The star gazing is an incredible bonus!! There are so many activities to do on property and around town. Flying, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, biking, hiking and checking out local eats.The Red Wing is a must! Yummers!!
Host Victoria and Eric are the best! They make you feel right at home. The grounds are kept up with TLC. Do yourselves a favor and book now.

We loved staying here. So peaceful and beautiful.
There’s a small lake for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding.,, you can also walk and bike around the property.
Victoria super friendly, always there.
Bathroom with showers and toilets available, always clean.

This was my first time camping I met James the first night I got there he was so friendly and showed us where to go the next day I met Victoria and to see her in person she is very nice I sent her so many texts and she had to change my invoice and she was till super nice I love this place because it has a shower and restroom and a pool and lake that you could go swimming or paddle boat or kayaking or even swing over the lake and drop down in the water which the kids loved it we will definitely go back.

Great camping experience, really nice pond. Wide open area with lots of places to pitch. Very laid back, lots of small aircrafts going. Awesome to watch, not bothersome though because they stop at dark. I stayed there a week and it was great. Do be prepared for the mosquitos because they work overtime, but that’s going to be anywhere camping in Florida. Great stay definitely recommend. Best price around!

Everyone at the property was friendly and helpful! We had issues with our tent blowing over during a storm and multiple people jumped in to help us get things situated. The property is amazing and there is more than enough things to keep you occupied! Stocked fishing lake, swimming pool, rope swing, kayaks and pedal boats, volleyball court and the small planes taking off and landing make for a great experience. My daughter brought her dirt bike and was allowed to ride it on the property. We will definitely be back soon and I'll be telling everyone about this hidden gem in Florida!

Awesome place to stay! If you're into aviation you can sip your morning coffee to see dragonflies taking off and carrying hang gliders. The facilities are super clean, with shower and restrooms. This became my favorite place to camp.
