Highland Park Fish Camp stands out as a unique destination that captures the essence of “old Florida,” offering visitors a nostalgic experience untouched by modern theme parks. As we celebrate our 63rd anniversary in 2025, this family-owned fish camp continues to be a beloved spot for anglers, campers, and nature enthusiasts alike, with year-round opportunities to catch largemouth bass.
Nestled on a picturesque 30-acre property along the Norris Dead River, a segment of the St. Johns River, Highland Park Fish Camp is bordered by the pristine Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. This expansive 23,000-acre preserve remains a sanctuary of untouched wilderness, providing a serene escape from the rapid development seen in much of Central Florida.
While we have made updates to enhance your comfort, we have preserved the natural beauty that makes our camp a true haven. Just five miles from the charming historic downtown DeLand, guests can explore a variety of unique restaurants and shops, making it easy to enjoy both nature and local culture. Whether you’re fishing, camping, or simply soaking in the beauty of the outdoors, Highland Park Fish Camp is the perfect retreat for anyone looking to reconnect with nature.
