The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Dunagan’s Meadow
What a welcoming stay. They were so nice and friendly, I even opted to extend my stay a second night for how beautiful it was. We sadly got rained out due to Milton. But I will come back and spend some time here asap. You have free access to explore all the fields and animals. My kids were so excited to see and pet all the cows and sheep. What a unique place! I could also see myself getting married on the grounds. Just beautiful.

Glenn Cottage at Dunagan’s Meadow
Tom's land is absolutely gorgeous. He gave us a tour to see the cows, sheep, and his grandmothers 100+ year old home. Very relaxing and peaceful, would definitely stay here again.

Dunagan’s Meadow
Beautiful well maintained property
Such a beautiful property. We arrived late and Tom went above and beyond to help us get situated upon arrival. Great skies for star gazing and lots of animals surrounding the property that provide a unique one of a kind experience. Highly recommend.

Arrowhead Sink
Beautiful experience
We’re just 3 girls who wanted to go camping and spring hop we also wanted to see the sinkhole it was so beautiful and made me appreciate my states beauty even more, Tom was so hospitable, really nice made us feel so comfortable and he was very accommodating. I didn’t read the directions and just showed up to his house with out letting him know my eta and he was understanding and wasn’t rude about it all. We failed so hard trying to start a fire and he helped us get one going when he didn’t have to at alll. We were so greatful he rlly saved our night and he’s very proud of his land and is educated about it and he was showing us wild mushrooms in the area. Would definitely book again I’m so glad he shares his land with the public even though his land is private it shows how much he values the land and it’s beauty. Thank you thank you 💕

Glenn Cottage at Dunagan’s Meadow
Great stay with a nice family!
Judi and tom are exceptional people! They are still recovering from hurricane Debbie which uprooted many trees and left a mess to be dealt with. The Glenn family was very gracious and welcoming. Judy took me with her to find and feed an orphan calf and. Showed me the original house that is being restored. The cabin had everything we needed and lots of privacy too,
