We picked this spot because it was close to the Keys, with that being said, it filled our needs. The dogs did bark on and off all night, woke us up several times. It was close to all major stores. A very tight squeeze for a 42 ft. 5th wheel.

Easy to get into this area. The sites were not defined will but there was space. The 30 Amp worked well. We spent a restful night here.
The rescue dogs were all friendly and roosters told us when it was time to wake up

It was really nice at farmer Bob place! Bob and his lovely family are amazing, the place is beautiful, calm and peaceful, and has everything you need, and we really enjoyed staying at the farm with our children. Thanks Bob!

The kids loved the dogs and I loved the fruit groves and greenhouse. Robert was a very friendly individual and was very knowledgeable about the local area. We really enjoyed our stay!

Staying at the fruit farm was a great experience! Robert and the farm manager were so friendly and kind. The property was fully fenced which we appreciated having kids wanting to move around. We'd stay there again!

Host was extremely friendly and helpful. We did not stay because site looked nothing like picture. It was basically parking in a yard that had debris scattered around, a hospital potty chair at entrance. There were also about 6 large dogs off leash.

Bob was friendly, responsive, and helpful. The location was quiet and shady. Overall we were happy with our stay. One caution if you have young kids, I felt like they needed closely supervised around the dogs.

We came in late and left early, but the host was responsive and helped us get in. There were four very sweet dogs who greeted us. Definitely follow the directions to get to the site as the road in from the left was very rough and difficult to navigate.

Robert is a very nice host. He made sure that we were ok with the site for our RV. He took us for a visit of his farm which was very interesting. The site is not very far from the entry for the Keys which was perfect for us. His dogs are so nice and they like to be pet... a lot !!!😉

Overall, not the worst place to stay.
Please note, the GPS takes you down a barely passable dirt road with big mud holes. I suggest asking for directions. Bob had messaged me to see how we were getting to the campsite, but assured me the GPS directions were fine. We almost didn’t make it in via the awful road. If you’ve got a big truck you’re probably all set. We have a camper van. Bob’s nephew was at the front gate when we arrived and said he’d definitely help us out if we got stuck. Bob’s wife met us at the gate to let us in.
It is nice to find a farm outside of the city that’s more rural with plenty of trees and greenery. My bf and I traveled down to FL from ME for a two-week vacation and we needed a place to park the van and sleep on our way to the Keys. The RV park being gated was comforting and at first the dogs helped us feel safe as well.
The dogs barked late into the night and started early in the morning. There’s another review that says one of the dogs charged at their small child several times. There are roosters on the property which started crowing early as well. This was not mentioned in the descriptions of the camp. For $50, you could probably find something better. I’m glad we only needed a place for overnight.

L’endroit est très tranquille. Les voisins sont assez proches de nous mais très discret. Il a 4 magnifiques chiens très calme, vraiment gentil et très bien élevé. Nous y retournerons pour un prochain voyage certain…..

This is a pretty strange set up. The pictures show individual sites lined up along the edge of a field. The reality is there are campers parked all over the place. There was not a site open when I got there. Luckily there was a guy leaving that was parked in the road outside the camping area. He left, and we pulled into his site. However it’s just along side a road, that runs in front of the hosts site. Everyone scattered around inside has water and electric. If you are parked outside along the road you have nothing. If the camping area is completely full, it should show as full, and not accept additional campers that cannot get an actual site.

The host didn’t disclose it was rv only, while we made it known we were not in an rv. There’s no bathroom. If you have an rv its ok, but was literally packed with rvs like a parking lot. The description states firewood provided , however there’s only one place on the property for fires which was nowhere near where we were set up. The host acted as if he did us a favor by booking us and not like he scammed us. I wouldn’t go back.

The sites were over booked and we couldn’t get our camper in. Then the owner claimed he didn’t know how to refund our $50. Very unhappy with the experience.

Not for car camping, my friend and I wanted to stay somewhere local and close to a show we attended last night, we are regular car campers and saw good reviews of this place. The host kept messaging me through the week to check for our ETA, I thought that was weird and told him we’d get there by 10 and if that would be an issue. He said no, only that at that time it was self serve. We rolled up to a closed gate, another camper helped and pointed us to the only available space right next to an RV lav hose, we attempted to make the best of it but no table no fire pit on that side maybe some cars that looked like they were parked there for months. Host comes around and we stated our issues and he said I usually don’t allow people to come in at that time and made an exception, sir you made the exception when you took the $50 for two parking spots. No water, bathroom, fire wood or any type of ammenity. We should’ve just found public parking for the night for what we got lol.

As tent campers, Farmer Bob was super accommodating even allowing us to use his bathroom when available. The dogs were the cutest and we enjoyed seeing his greenhouse full of orchids. I want to be honest though and say early on in having a conversation the first night, farmer Bob used a racial slur unabashedly which was disconcerting to say the least. As “chill” as the rest of the experience was, I cannot at the same time overlook overtly racist behavior and recommend this campsite.

Bob was VERY accommodating. Our truck and camper bumper to bumper is 60ft. It's an easy in, but out took a little planning. If your backing skills are on point, you will be fine. We parked along the outside fence for 4 days on our way to the keys. Bob let us borrow everything we needed to get power and water to the camper. Every question we asked was answered with "Sure, whatever you need" Close enough to the everglades that we went twice.

Alright so this review is a bit complicated. In summary, we had a really great stay at fresh gardens. We loved the starfruit and staying somewhere off the beaten path. Robert was helpful and casual, without being nosy or invasive. We met some great neighbors and enjoyed our time
HOWEVER. Robert has like 6 rescue dogs. Mostly they are fine. Except the one. To be fair, he warned us that the kids shouldn't approach that one. Except our son did not approach it, and it still charged and bit him. The same dog bit another boy the day before, and yet another small boy on our last day. All told, that dog charged my son 4 times. My wife and I were able to stop it before it bit 3 of the 4 times. It also charged me while my back was turned. Robert DID make a good effort to keep that dog inside or locked up, and we appreciated that, though it wasn't always a success.
The night noise was mentioned in a previous review and we expected the barking and roosters. There was also some guitar playing at 3 in the morning and some random gunshot noises, though it is Florida so...
Anyway. The layout is a bit chaotic and cramped, but we made it work. The location is good for exploring other parts of Florida. Robert does his best to be helpful and make things comfortable. I wouldn't recommend for families with small children, but otherwise, give it a shot!

Using Hipcamp, we try to avoid the cliché commercial campsites with packed spaces, smelly sanitary blocks and little to no authenticity. Robert's place is a little chaotic and cozy farmland with a very friendly and welcoming Robert: we quite enjoyed it.

Bob was a most gracious host. Upon arrival we call him and he was there in short order to show us to our site #3 and assist us to settle in. As other reviewers have commented, this is a rustic farm and not an RV park. Also, as others mentioned, the sites are located in the host' front yard and not as spacious as one might think from looking at the photos. All that to say, we were made to feel right at home. We had a RV repair that we encountered while traveling to the property and Bob was super nice to offer to drop us into town to pick up the necessary parts. The rescue dogs were lovely as were the chickens and we spent a very secure and restful night. We did not get a chance to tour the farm but did have the opportunity to view Bob's wife orchid collection that spans an entire greenhouse. This was truly amazing and not to be missed. Be
Do contact Bob prior to arrival so as to get directions to the property as the route that the GPS will take you might take you to a rough barely passable road that might cause damage to your RV. All that said, we enjoyed our time at this property.

The camp site was not what I had expected but it was unique and fun the place meant was great for going to the national parks and the hosts were friendly and the farm was very well maintained. 5 stars. Just a heads up to anyone looking they do have lots of dogs but all we’re very well trained and were quite at night

OK, so the photo is a little misleading. The site has just a few sites and they all have a central electric and water hook-up. there are only a couple of sites close enough for a standard (25 ft) electric RV cable.
That being said, the great points are that it is a working farm and super cool. the location is central to a lot of things; the keys, the Everglades & Miami. the host is Super cool and a very sweet guy. We talked a lot and he was a real, kind, and grounded person. The sites have lots of trees and good shade. chickens, dogs (friendly) goats, turkeys, and a greenhouse with Orchids he can show you. Go see farmer Bob!
