Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
We have been here for a year now. We changed the name from Dude's Off Grid to Crow Heart Sanctuary. This off the grid property has been in building stages since 2018 and features multiple solar systems. There are three tent camping spaces, and one RV space. All guests have access to our shared bath house with large open air shower and flush toilet. This property is not super large at 2ac but we rarely book more than a couple sites at a time so it's rarely crowded and whichever spot you choose you have access to the other spots to walk to the pond if unoccupied. Only site 2 and 3 has pond views. But at all our sites you will be under trees, and mostly shaded. Our property is primarily 21/up. We do have a dog and two cats living here with us. Dogs are not allowed but we are willing to talk to you about your pet and to see if it could be OK. Our animals are family. It is their home and I want them always to feel safe. Thank you for understanding. We would also limit the length of stay to five days unless we talk and make a different agreement.

Es war super gelegen. Ein toller Platz unter den Bäumen. Das Bad ist mit Dusche und sehr schön. Die Gastgeber waren außerordentlich nett. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Site 4, Van - RV spot
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Site, 4 Van-RV Spot
Lulu and Tarwater we're amazing host's. My wife and I were a few days late checking in due to me ending up in the hospital having 3 stents put in my major artery. Lulu and Tarwater extended our stay to make up for the days we were late. We met with Lulu and Tarwater upon arrival. They showed us Where to park our class B camper van and then lent me a hand unloading and loading my motorcycle. They invited us to a bonfire later in the evening, which was a very nice meet and greet. The land at Site 4, Van - RV Spot is simply beautiful with big oak trees all about the property with a small pond in the back of the property. The flush toilet and shower house are immaculately clean, the solar powered hot water was great! Lulu and Tarwater gave great directions to the property and they take pride in their property as well, and their hospitality was simply amazing. Their pup named Petey and cool cat named Willie paid us a delightful visit daily. My wife and I can't say enough good about Site 4, Van - RV Spot. And Lulu and Tarwater. We highly recommend this hip-camp.

Off-grid camping with amenities!
Matt and Rachael were phenomenal hosts. Their creative spirits are on display through various stations and projects that they have built on this beautiful off-grid homestead. As soon as I arrived my gracious hosts made me feel comfortable and right at home. I would recommend this spot to anybody traveling through like I was or even if you just want to check out an off-grid chill spot. By far the best Hipcamp I've been to yet.

Site 2, small car/tent spot by pond
Great stopover for tent camping
Nice wooded spot to pitch our tent along our southern bike trek. Easy to find off highway 20 near Hollister. Basic site with nearby bathhouse, water and outdoor kitchen available. Matt and Rachel were responsive and welcoming hosts. Definitely recommend for a convenient tent stay.
