Great spot. Was a little hard to find at night, but Mike was very helpful. I wish I could have stayed 1 more night, but had work come up.

This place was amazing! Mike stopped by and introduced himself and is very passionate about his farm. He allowed us to choose any site as we were the only campers there! Had the entire area to walk around the lake with the dogs off leash and was able to see some of the exotic fruit trees( they sadly weren’t in season) but was a GREAT stay. The only thing I will say is the pictures are a little outdated. The lake is pretty overgrown and there is a few broken down campers on the property but that did not dock off any points at all! Would stay here again !

Truly a lovely little spot! The host was very kind, friendly, and responsive. We had a wonderful time in spot 10. The pot belly pigs were cute and didn't bother us. However do bring bug spray! Otherwise, was very peaceful and we would definitely book again :)

We loved our stay in the camper! The site is located on a farm which was really neat and we were able to see baby chickens and pet pigs! We stayed in a non-fruiting season (just missed starfruit) so we weren't able to get fruit but if you're lucky enough to stay when the trees are fruitful the owner was so kind to share! We slept soundly and accessed the farm by opening and closing the gates at the entrance was easy! There are so many fun things nearby, and not too far from downtown Tampa. Definitely would stay again!

Honestly this should not be on hipcamp and the pictures are deceptive. Puzzled why there are glowing reviews and I want other future campers to know the truth. All night you hear the highway and airplanes flying over. The property is junky. I think if this was $20 a night I would recommend it to RVs/camper vans only.

It's a fantastic spot. If you're looking for a central Florida type of get away you'll be hard pressed to beat this place. It's quiet, peaceful, birds galore. We spent 7 days here and I could easily spend 7 more. The hosts were great, they basically left us alone (in the best way, they were very attentive, friendly, and helpful). We traveled during spring break and had a beautiful site next to the pond. There's plenty of grocery and other types of stores within a few miles if you need anything but you'd never know it while sitting on site, it's very secluded and private. We'll be back for sure.

We love this place! The spring fed pond, fruti trees, pogs chickens a.d bees! Also easy to access to multiple beaches close by. We have stayed there before and will definitely stay there again. Mike is an amazing human and host.

It's on a beautiful spring-fed lake. Campsites are spread out, so very peaceful and a very attentive host. You feel like you're far away from it all, yet it's very handy to everything if you need groceries, camp supplies or even a meal in a restaurant. A great getaway.

Very relaxing atmosphere with indigenous vegetation next to a nice size lake for fishing. Host hospitality is off the charts. Place has a welcoming , relaxed vibe. Perfect for a truck bed tent. My son and I enjoyed our stay & plan to be back soon!

My family of four spent one night tent camping and had a great stay! Campsite 3 was tucked away from the other sites with plenty of room, close to the toilets and potable water. Mike was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We’ll be sure to go back when the mangoes are in season!

Mike was a very helpful host while we made our arrival plans and also during our stay. We picked an out of the way site with lots of surrounding plants. There are also wide open spaces for groups. A hurricane has left some damage to trees, fences and other items throughout the farm. They are in the process of replanting bananas and mangoes, and have just purchased some baby chicks to restock their flock.

Site number 6 is my favorite. Mikey is a very nice man. Answer all your questions the pond is very stocked with large mouth bass i will be definitely coming back

Very cool little spot with unique people and some wonderful fruit trees. Really enjoyed the starfruits and the beautiful lakeside spot! Definitely recommend for an easy beautiful night.

Amazing property. A little traffic noise from 75, but the entire campsite was entirely enclosed and felt like a little oasis.
Campsites are far enough away for privacy. All sites have lake view. Host Mike was so accommodating and provided extra info on local hiking and The property. Friendly Cats, Roosters, and Pot Belly Pigs were spotted. The sunflower he dropped off was an extra added touch.
All other campers were so friendly.
Will be returning as I am local always needing a quick getaway. Looking forward to visiting during summer during Mango season.

We absolutely loved our stay at 'By The Pond' !! Easily accessible, great communication, beautiful views and a beautiful space to walk around and enjoy nature. From the fruit trees, to the bees, and the piggies - we didn't want to leave! Thanks for everything Mike and Bill!
