Explore 11+ acres of rustic and untamed woods. We are a military veteran family who enjoys the land as a place for family and friends to explore, camp, and relax at the 250+ feet of the East Bay beach. We do not have WiFi, but we do have 5g service throughout the 11 acre property. Our camping sites DO NOT have electricity These are hike-in only campsites ☺️ Primitive camping is permitted at designated wooded high grounds in the middle of the property. It is a 5 and 10-minute rugged hike in to the middle ground respectively. The trail remains under development, so please bring close-toed shoes or boots for hiking throughout the property (depending on rainfall, there may be mud and water). We have two primitive campsites these campsites are first come first serve, they are not assigned when booking. Plesea see pictures. Our Glamper tent is a 10x12 canvas furnished full size bed with bedding, pillows and enough floor space for two sleeping bags. The tens are located off a short trial, but rugged 2-minute hike from the parking area. We provide the opportunity to go camping without having to pack the tent. Closed toed shoes are highly suggested as well as plenty of lighting with batteries or solar charging capability. This is a rugged, fun and serene camping experience. Locates justminutes from the Emerald Coast - 7 mins to Navarre Beach, - 30 mins to Pensacola Beach, - 15 mins to Naval Live Oaks, - 45 mins to Fort Pickens, - 50 mins to NAS Pensacola, - 45 mins to Santa Rosa Island, - 35 mins to Okaloosa Island, - 40 mins to Destin. Recommended local restaurants: St. Michael's Brewery which has rotating food trucks and is family friendly, Ye Olde Brothers Brewery, Dewey Destin’s, Andy D's on Navarre Beach, Stripe's Pub, Johnny Huston's, Windjammers, TC’s Front Porch, Deb’s Coffee, The Eatery food truck park, Top’s Burgers, and New York Pizza Depot. Other sightseeing in the area includes: Museums: National Naval Aviation Museum, Air Force Armament Museum, Fort Pickens, Indian Temple Mound Museum, Pensacola Museum of Art, Museum of Industry, and Destin History & Fishing Museum Additional activities include: Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, HH Arts Gallery, Emerald Coast Science Center, Gulf Breeze Zoo, and Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park.

Explore 11+ acres of rustic and untamed wetland forest. Primitive Campsite: Bring Your Own Tent !!! ⛺ ☺️ We only provide a campsite, picnic table, fire pit and porta potty ☺️ We are a hike in only campground. We do not have Wi-Fi or electricity at these campsites. But, we do have RVs for rent. Primitive camping is permitted at designated wooded highgrounds in the middle of the property. It is a 5 and 10-minute rugged hike in to the middle ground and waterfront, respectively. The trail remains under development, so please bring close-toed shoes or boots for hiking throughout the property (depending on rainfall, there may be mud and water). There is portapotty and garden shower located at the front of the property which is where campers will park. An additional portapotty has been added at the campgrounds in the middle of the property as well. As a family, we practice "leave no trace" camping methods. Guests are expected to do the same. PLEASE leave it better than you found it. Tents are available to rent. We are a HIKE IN ONLY campground. We do not have electricity or WI-FI accessibility in our Glamping tents or our Primitive campsites. We do have excellent 5g cell service. As a family, we enjoy this area to camp, and enjoy the outdoors. The site is located on 11+ acres of rugged wetland bay forest, nestled in Navarre. The site also includes a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, fire ring, and hammock. The bed is furnished with fresh linens. The portapotty is a minute walk and the outdoor garden shower a 2-minute walk. The property does have 200 feet of bay waterfront, but is for those more adventurous to take on the rugged trail. Seclusion! Hidden Gem!

Secluded and private getaway from the norm. My fiance and I slept really hard. The host was super nice & helpful!

Bay Forest Primitive-BYOT
The campground was beautiful! The facilities were clean and all trail paths were trimmed with no debris! They had plenty of fire would for sale and a cart to use to carry your camping gear into your site! The bridge was a little tricky to maneuver with your cart but after a couple trips we figured out how to make it work with the cart! Fortunately, we were the only campers in the primitive and glamper tent site but the 5 glamper and primitive sites seem too close together and would maybe be too much if all are fully booked and especially with all the open land they have that could be used to spread the sites out a little more so people have more privacy. The hosts were great and very attentive! Will certainly go back again soon!!!

I loved this hidden gem! I was traveling and decided to call it a night and this spot was perfect for me. The host was extremely helpful and led me straight to the spot in the dark. I will be back! Thank you again, Hillary!

Exactly as advertised and I would go back to primitive camp again. Would possibly even do a yurt if it's in my camping budget for the time. Great for budget camper last minute camper looking for a quick imo, especially if a bigger spot is unavailable.

This is my second time back and I had an even better experience the second time around! The beach was beautiful and a great spot to camp 🫶🏽🫶🏽 The instructions sent before my arrival were very thorough and helpful. The site is also very conveniently located to Navarre beach! Definitley coming back! 🤙🏽

The Glamper at Bay Forest
What a wonderful place tucked away next to the bay. Our host was very helpful and nice. 2 Adults and 3 kids stayed in both of the glamping tents. The camping experience by far was even more pleasant than we had imagined. Navarre beach and a several night at here will be something we do again. Bring your kayaks and explore the East Bay river. What a treasure!

Great place to stay! It was quiet, clean, the tent smelled great which I don’t expect camping. It was just what I look for. Secluded enough to not be shoulder to shoulder but it had all the convenient amenities. We will be back!

I had an outstanding solo camping experience here. From fishing off the kayak in the bay to enjoying a gorgeous sunrise and sunset, it was everything I was looking for. The hosts were helpful and friendly during our brief interaction. Even though I only spent 1 day in those woods, it was memorable. And camp is only a short ride from a local brewery and civilization... If my travels ever bring me back around the area, I would definitely try to reserve a site here.

What a wonderful experience! This was the perfect introduction to camping for my three-year-old son and me. Even with hot weather and a rainy, chilly day, having the spacious canvas tent made everything smooth and enjoyable. A huge thank you to our co-host, Brooke, who was absolutely fantastic. Her quick and polite replies, along with her excellent customer service, really enhanced our stay. We even received a bonus night for Labor Day weekend, which was an awesome surprise.

My 3 Yr Olds First Camping Trip!

This was the first time camping with our three-year-old son, and it was a wonderful experience for him and for us! He absolutely loved his first time seeing a campfire, and it was so special to experience that with him as a parent. The campgrounds were clean and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the provided tent, which was a fantastic touch. Communication with the landlord and manager was excellent; their responses were both respectful and quick. I highly recommend this spot!

Super cool area!! Would highly recommend! Very clean and a great outdoor space to spend with family! We stayed in Glamper 2 and it was perfect for us!

We enjoyed our stay!!! This is a great place if you are looking to spend less than a hotel or an air BNB, and a more fun and relaxing, in my opinion. It was a short drive to Navarre Beach and also close to Pensacola. Every evening we loved watching the sunset on the bay and the free kayaks. It was hot, as expected in late July, but with a cheap battery operated fan we brought it was very pleasant at night. I would definitely recommend and plan to return.

Beautiful Site, but Rude Staff

Husband and I stayed from 7/4-7/7 with our 5 dogs after driving 9 1/2 hours. Besides the first night, no other campers were there. Pros- Owners (Hilary and Thomas) were wonderful, property is beautiful, sites are cozy, 2 kayaks (and life jackets) are available for use at the private beach on the bay. Cons- Cohost (Brooke) had to help another family camping that we had accidentally set up our stuff in their spot (no visibly marked site #’s), but was extremely rude to us about this, got in my husband’s face screaming and cursing at us, threatened to call the police (we weren’t being anything but compliant), then wouldn’t stop talking over us so we could explain the situation- all over a campsite mixup and us having our 5 dogs with us, which I had already disclosed in the reservation request that had been approved. It was obvious to us AND to the other family that she was drunk (probably coming from a 4th of July party) but I don’t care, she was horrible. Then another worker refused to allow us to BUY firewood from him when there wasn’t any available for the paying guests to buy, stating that he needed the wood to last him through winter… it’s July and we needed /maybe/ 2 bundles. We stayed in contact with the owners throughout our stay because, quite frankly, we were going to leave after the first night, but Hilary and Thomas’s willingness to help and communicate with us really to make us feel heard when the other 2 workers weren’t great really did make things better.

Had an amazing time camping here! The property was beautiful and exactly as advertised. The directions were very clear, and we really appreciated the amenities. It’s in a great location and the nearby town is super cute. Highly recommend staying here!

Great camping experience!

It was a great experience camping here! We loved the beach and the fire. There are a ton of mosquitos so make sure to lather in bug spray! Thank you for the help and keeping my husband’s bag safe when he forgot it. You guys are awesome!

Grounds were clean and well maintained. However upon arrival it was apparent that Glamper 2 windows were left open and we discovered a soaked þsandy wet mattress and Lenins. We decided to not try to wait out the damp wet Lenins and mattress. All in all

Overall it’s a lot of work to use the primitive sites, and I would instead recommend booking one of the host’s glampers or RVs. The property itself is beautiful with private water access, but has constant noise from the nearby highway. We had a hard time hauling our stuff and walking over the wooden bridge, which is unstable and gets very soft in wet conditions. There is a nearby and well-maintained porta potty for the campsites and the shower is just a short walk back toward the parking area. The host was quick to reply to any questions and checked in on us after a thunderstorm. If you opt to use the primitive campsites here, be sure to pack lightly and bring a few citronella candles!

Stayed 2 nights, was nice n quit. They have a couple primitive tent sites and some glamping tents. Be cautious of the bears. Didn't have no problems but there was one spotted the first night we stayed. We stayed in a primitive tent site. It did rain n thunder the first night also n was pretty awesome to watch.

Easy to find, and exactly what I was looking for. The area for the 3 primitive tent sites and 2 Glamping tents was secluded enough that you felt you were in the wilderness but not so much that you were worried about not getting help or emergency services if needed. Each tent site had several places where you could set up and not have roots/rocks underneath you. Portapotty was close and clean. The garden shower was closer to the main site due to the needed access to running water. Everything was just as described and I did not feel mislead, no unpleasant surprises. Close drive to the main beach, restaurants, and stores. There were several bad thunderstorms while I was there and they checked with me to make sure I was aware and could let them know if I needed help.

Great experience, dogs had a great time in the water and it seemed very secluded. There was a cart near the entrance that made bringing our gear to the site very easy!

I loved tent camping at East Bay. The host was very nice and made sure we were happy. Great location with the bay down the path from camp and Navarre beach a near drive. A plus having a porta potty onsite and it was very clean. Will definitely be back if camping in this area again:)

Wonderful Stay!!
The Glamper 2 at Bay Forest
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our three night stay here in the glamper! It was spacious and very comfortable and could easily accommodate a few more people but was quite spacious for us as a couple. The hosts were very easy to contact and were responsive to any questions. Brooke reached out the evening of our arrival to ensure everything was good with the site. There was also a picnic table, several chairs, and a fire ring to enjoy! There was plenty of space to feel isolated but close enough to town to enjoy that aspect of the vacation. The walk to the beach area was nice and there were even a few kayaks and a picnic table down there for people staying on the property to use! 10/10 would definitely come back here again and would recommend it to anyone!
