David was welcoming and accommodating. The campsite was peaceful with a beautiful view of the river - and the dolphins were unforgettable! We were out on the dock watching the fireworks on July 4th and they swam by just a few feet away.
This has a backwoods feel with the convenience of a full bath.
Don't expect fancy, be prepared for mosquitos, and you'll have an adventure!

We had a beautiful spot overlooking the Indian River and directly across from Kennedy Space Center. We got to see a satellite launch and we’re visited by dolphins while enjoying our coffee on the dock. David was very accommodating without being intrusive and provided access to an indoor bathroom with hot shower. This site was a little hard to locate so get there before dark. Individual sites were not really marked but wasn’t a problem as we were the only ones there

Nice, quiet location.
Initially looked quite deserted, but restroom, water, electricity, wifi are all in a neighbouring house.
Favorable location for visiting Kennedy Space Center.
And if you are lucky (we were) you may see a rocket launch.

Everything here is great. We saw dolphins from the dock within minutes of arriving. Dave is really nice as well. The campsites are in a grassy area out back and kind of close together, but not any different than you'd find at any other hipcamp where 5+ sites are available. We had room for the car and tent and kitchen area no problem. All of the water areas are open and free of sites which means everyone can enjoy the space for communal areas. There are multiple chairs by the water and on the dock. The area is really quiet with tons of stores nearby. We also saw 2 rocket launches this week. The launch pad is directly across the water about 5-8 miles away and you can see the launch from the dock. It was nice not to have to go anywhere else for that! Wifi and hot showers were a plus as well.

This is really a very lovely place! I had the pleasure of watching dolphins swim right in front of me when I got up to watch the sunrise over the water. The mornings were peaceful and quiet so that it was easy to listen to the many waterfowl. The very hot showers were a great addition and there was also a kitchen area available, though I didn’t need to use it this trip. David was very kind and checked in with me and answered all my questions! It was only 15 minutes to get to the Kennedy Space Center and a quick drive to Canaveral National Seashore.

The location is right where I wanted to be near Titusville with easy access to Merrit Island, Canaveral National Seashore and the Space Center. Access to the individual camp sites are overgrown with a narrow path and when I arrived, I was not sure it was the right place. My personal preference for a site is one with plenty of evenly spaced trees to hang a hammock, string up ridge lines for tarps and drying. Pictures of the site indicate this are of the owner's house backyard and are not for camping. Site could use clearing of excess vegetation. Owner was very friendly and site includes the use of toilet shower room and access to the dock on Indian River with great views overlooking the Space Center, you can easily see the Vehicle Assembly Building and the SpaceX launch pad.

Beautiful site. A bit of a walk to get to the restroom but tucked away nicely. Was very quiet and comfortable. Easy access to the water.

David was an amazing host. He was so kind so considerate on top of that very helpful. We got to the place right away had access to the dock started fishing right away at night. We were still fishing caught some fish saw manatees right off the dock the manatees don’t come until night time but still awesome it is the middle of July in Florida so I recommend a fan with cooling technology like an out door AC unit but for the accommodation and the views you get at night and the wild life definitely worth it.even just to go camping and enjoy the camping life David has lots of info where you can see other wild life like the manatee deck only minutes away from where we were but it was a cozy place where you can relax and enjoy camping life 5 stars hands down with all the amenities. Site 4 - A Bit Of Paradise Camping
We came to watch the launch and sleep at night while we enjoyed the beach during the day, however we had to make other arrangements because the mosquitos were so bad.
The host met us and was very sweet and showed us around the property. If we could have camped along the shore with the breeze I think we would have been fine, but the sites are back in the trees and the mosquitos swarmed our party and outsmarted all our deet and citronella options so sadly we could had to abandon ship.
I'm not sure what if anything the host can do about bugs in Florida, but just a heads up to have a backup plan as they were hungry during our visit! The launch was fun to watch from the dock and we saw stingrays in the water. The mosquitos just outsmarted us.

David was a pleasure to talk to. Had Port Canaveral, Warbirds Museum and the Kennedy Space within minutes. Woke up each morning with the river and Kennedy Space Center in front of me. Saw two SpaceX rocket launches in two days, a dozen cruise ships coming and going, charter fishing boats and their catches. I found a different fishing spot every day.

This campsite is awesome , very relaxing and quiet. David was very nice and attentive , he loves sharing his little paradise. If you have a chance try catching a space shuttle launch , campsite it's right in front of it ! . Saw lots of birds including a woodpecker building its home ❤️. My husband and I will definitely be back, Thank you David.

From the main road, this place looks a little shady, but as soon as you get to where you're camping and see the view, it's amazing! David was very nice, the bathroom was clean with nice hot water, and even with three other tents set up, the only real noise we heard was the highway. We saw dolphins, a stingray, and two rocket launches while we were here! Great place to watch the launches from, and the water off his dock is super clear. Saw one of the most beautiful sunrises here! Wish we had brought kayaks, it's a perfect place for it. Will definitely be camping here again! Thank you so much David!

Just the facts...David was great. Quick to answer texts and questions. The location is across from Cape Canaveral National Seashore and convienint to groceries and fast food. There is water access and great sunrises. I saw Dolphins and Ospreys are nesting nearby. A little hard for me to find but David will talk you in. I will be back to a little private hideaway. It's quiet and restroom was spotless.

David’s property is beautiful. The dock is so peaceful. We didn’t wake up early enough for any sunrises, but we did get to enjoy the dock in the evening, see a launch, and got to see some fun wildlife. The bathrooms were very well kept and it was really nice to have a hot shower nearby. David was really nice, greeted us upon arrival and always gave a friendly hello when we ran into each other.

When I booked 30 sites were advertised. Has since been changed to five sites and you can’t even tell where those five sites are. Property very rundown and unkempt. Instructions from owner was to check in with security and those instructions were vague. No security on site, no David to greet, no answer to phone or text. Sites not marked, trash everywhere. I was scared to death to pitch a tent there during day let alone being there at night. I admit I was afraid to even get out of my car.

I loved camping in David's land, perfect view like a paradise, you can see the sunrise on the dock, we love it. The place is very quiet and relaxing. David was very kind. We recommend it 100%.

The view is awesome and I really appreciated access to the dock, hammocks, and especially bathroom. We were lucky to only share the spot with one other camper so it was relatively private and not crowded. David was kind and we would come back again ☺️

Beautiful, scenic area with a perfect view and a dock over the river. David met us and helped us set up our barbecue and fire. We really appreciated our stay! PS: We had a perfect view of the nasa launch if you’re in town, check the schedule!

Manatees and rocket launch paradise
We tent camped on David’s property. The view is absolutely gorgeous and there are literal groups of manatees that come every day which is pretty exciting. David has some really good amenities for campers including Wi-Fi, plug ins, a nice toilet and shower. The site is 3-6miles from the Kennedy space center and has a front and center view if you wanted to see a launch. The only thing I will say is we were expecting a bit more space for privacy, I'm sure David can comfortably fit 2-3 campers tents on the site, but any more might be a bit crowded. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again!

David's land is very nice! If you are looking for privacy, make sure to check with him before booking as the property does seem to fill up sometimes, with tents quite close to each other. The sites aren't marked and it's kind of a free for all, though he did allow me to move away from the 3-4 other tents that were feet away from me when I first arrived, car camping. It did eventually calm down during the week as campers departed. Also of note is that the raccoons love to come out all night and knock tree branches around and startle the nesting herons so if you hear a ruckus all night, it's likely just these critters! Otherwise quite peaceful, and even the other campers were very peaceful, there's just really no privacy unless you have the property to yourself. The turn into the driveway from the fast highway did not seem marked very clearly and the GPS first took me to the driveway next door. Before I entered I checked the address and thankfully figured it out before entry, but be aware it's a tad confusing and the highway is very fast as you're trying to turn in. If you have a heavy vehicle it can get a little tricky. The house with the bathroom is definitely a little creepy at night if you don't have a friend to go with, but the bathroom is nice to have nevertheless. The shower was luke warm initially, but I told David and it should be flowing hot now as he adjusted the water heater promptly. All in all it was a quiet safe spot right on the river which is lovely.
