If you like the sound of having farm shops and ice cream farms nearby, as well as access to lots of walking and cycling trails, Stretton House Campsite should be a fine pick for you. It has a strict no noise policy after 10pm, meaning that you should get a peaceful night's sleep too. This site is in the grounds of the 400-year-old Stretton House surrounded by the Cheshire countryside with handy transport links nearby and outdoor activities in no short supply… that includes things like alpaca walking, golf or Manley Mere’s watersports haven (a 20-minute drive away for the latter). You’ll have your pick of two fields, both with car parking by the pitch free of charge and dogs allowed. The facilities include separate male and female toilet blocks, pay per use shower block, mobile phone charging facilities, free wifi and chemical toilet disposal and a drinking water standpipe. You’ll have permission to start up a barbecue or firepit too (subject to the correct safety measures). When you’re ready to get going, the friendly owners will be willing to help out however they can and suggest possible days out, which may include fishing or walking at Pickmere Lake (10 minutes’ drive), visiting an ice cream farm (within 10 minutes’ drive of the site) or going to the local golf course (five minutes’ drive). For food, there’s a farm shop just two minutes’ walk away from the site where you’ll be able to get your hands on local produce. Pubs aren’t far away either – there is one pub five minutes' walk away, and another 15 minutes' walk away. Festival goers are very welcome, and the Creamfields Festival site is five minutes’ drive away. Please respect the quiet hours (no noise is permitted after 10pm) and environment, as the owners' home is on the grounds (and stick to the field's facilities only). No waste accepted onsite. All rubbish must be taken home at the end of your stay.

There where 2 big field to pitch up on we had a great time there was lots of planes to see that fly over all day the toilets where clean and washing facilities you can also borrow a frying pan if needed

My husband and I had a great time camping here. The campsite had a really great chilled out atmosphere to it, toilets were clean, people were helpful. Plenty of walks nearby for which was great for the dog. Directions were clear too, coordinates took us straight to the campsite and there’s signs to help you know where to go as well. Thank you!

Stayed 2 nights on the Top field , great for a couple of nights , cosy log fire 🔥, 20mins walk to a lovely pub for dinner ( Cat & Lion ) Toilet / shower , light pull is at the entrance door on timer , just glad I took my phone for the torch , showers are communal ok if hubby / friend has one at the same time , Washing up area looks good n tidy , apart from the food waste bucket fixed in front of the sink , full of waste food ,over loaded and absolutely stinks , those bins need to be removed, Taking your own rubbish home wasn’t an issue for two nights, £20 a night ⛺️ I’d rather ⛺️off grid

Plenty of space for the kids to play and for camp fires. Can walk to the local pub. Good communication with host. Nice farm shop nearby. Would definately go again!

Back to basics campsite with toilets, showers and tap for drinking water. Easy to find and well presented. Entrance to field is a little muddy - it's been dry recently so didn't cause any issues but something to be aware of.

Despite storm Amy, we had a decent stay. Although not needed, the Facilities were very good. Toilet blocks, shower block & chemical toilet waste disposal too. Paul was helpful when called upon for directions and a mini rescue due to downpour.

We loved staying on Paul’s land it was so much fun our kids loved toasting marshmallows over the open fire and if you don’t have one Paul has a online shop we’re u can buy everything and give in 10 mins and go and pick up the good thing is from ten it’s quite so u can get some rest Thank you Paul for a lovely stay defo book again

Great set up, can’t fault it. Showers and toilets are clean. Field is spotless. Great little dog play area and a big teepee full of hay for the kids to play

It is not worth £30 per night as there are no facilities, for this amount i would expect showers, i booked on a last minute thing but won't go back

Great spot for camping and easy to get too from the motorway, our only complaints were due to weather and cant fault the camp for that. Paul was very easy going and more than helpful with bot directions and as all 3 of our vehicles couldn't get through the wet field, Paul towed us in his tractor into the field and back out the next day. Will definitely stay again but maybe in the summer months next time!

We camped in august with our friends - there were 8 of us in total (4 kids) and our dog. The campsite is great. The toilet block is nice and clean and doesn’t smell. There is fresh water at the other end of the field. It’s quite a “back to basics” site, but that’s what we like, and it was quite quiet, apart from a bit of road noise and aeroplanes which was fine. The cockerels woke us up early but we managed to get back to sleep! The ground is perfect for pitching tents, and the grass is well maintained. The owner has a nice balance of being helpful without being overbearing. Would recommend.
