Located East of Route One, this once farm land just off the Delaware Bay (Slaughter Beach), is home to residences that enjoy peaceful living surrounded by nature. Easy access to the main roads but just far enough to enjoy serenity. Nearby Slaughter Beach is a coastal town that was founded in 1681 and home to thousands of horseshoe crabs and shorebirds. Horseshoe crabs are considered prehistoric and their survival through time is miraculous. The property is surrounded by field for farm crops and woods just off the property. We are new hosts looking to expand, for now you will be in a county setting as the property is surrounded by field and a woods line. We have a lot of birds and they can serenade you throughout the day. Eagles, deer, wood peckers, owls to name a few of the wildlife. Star gazing at night! We are minutes to nearby Slaughter Beach (drive 5 minutes or bike) on the Delaware Bay. Enjoy a walk on the beach or take out your kayak just minutes away! Slaughter Beach has tennis, a marina, beach, birdwatching trail, beach pavilion for picnics and for a short drive you can visit the more resort beaches of Delaware like Lewes and Rehoboth Beach DE about a 20 minute drive which has plenty to do (outlet shopping, water parks, boardwalk). About 10 minutes away is Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge and much more to explore. We are 20 minutes to Dover DE. We are a vegan homestead and prefer not to have guests that cook/eat animals or animal products on our property. No cigarette smoking and adults only. 420 friendly and their is a dog and cat on the property. We hope you can enjoy the small wonders of Delaware
