Beautiful setting andcroom to walk thru a meadow and woods and gardens. This is a prepared sit andci couldnt get comfortably level so take your time settling in.
This was our first time not only using Hipcamp, but camping in general. We had so much fun on Amy & Bill’s property. We didn’t realize how large the backyard was at first and there was more privacy than we anticipated. The goats, duck and chickens were so fun to watch. The view of the rolling hills was awesome, especially at sunset.
If you're looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this is the place to be. The campsites are wonderfully immersive, nestled right among lush greenery, local fruit-bearing trees, and vibrant wildlife. Waking up to the sounds of nature, spotting unique local flora like wild pawpaws and berries, and seeing charming touches like the rustic birdhouses hanging in the trees made the experience truly special.
It's the perfect spot to disconnect, pitch a tent, and enjoy the great outdoors in a quiet, natural setting. Highly recommended for nature lovers and campers seeking a serene escape!

My daughters and I had a wonderful time camping at Bill and Amy’s beautiful place. The check in was very easy and helpful. The views were great. My daughters loved the goats and tortoises. Hopefully we can be back again sometime soon.
Incredible place! So easy to find and access. Bill and Amy were so gracious and welcoming. We were in our campervan and had the place to ourselves. Except for goats, chickens and ducks! Incredible view. Close to Newtown. Highly recommend this awesome spot!

Amy was so kind and welcoming, she was happy to share recommendations for things to do in the area. The views were beautiful, and all of the friendly animals made our stay even more special!! You can tell a lot of thought and effort go into making this a wonderful place to stay. We would love to come back!
Love this place! This was our second time camping on Amy and Bill’s land. It is a truly special place and they are especially sweet and generous people. We extended our stay because we didn’t want to leave. They have thought of so many details, including a cooking grill and a sink for doing dishes etc- it makes for a very lovely and easy time camping. My girlfriend and I were laughing to each other at how sweet the site was when we came home to it. Nearby Lake Lillinonah is a gem- we went every day we were there. We hope to be back next summer.

We had such a wonderful time! Amy and Bill were so welcoming and accommodating. Their spot has gorgeous views and trails, and it was so easy to drive in and set up camp! Great little weekend escape :)
Amy and Bill were amiable hosts, communicative and cheerful. We enjoyed our two night stay, and their farm animals were so sweet and curious. Ample accommodation with room to stretch out by firelight, and create multi course meals easily with my camp kitchen crate and a cooler, both by grill and over the wood fire with the grate. It was a warm weekend and the sink with cold, potable water was so nice to have within a few steps from the site for refilling water containers and doing dishes. We’d happily return to this sweet, quiet spot. What a gem!
The Meadow's Edge was a peaceful space that felt just private enough even though it was close to the main house. The cutest chickens and ducks wandered the field, and there were also two goats and tortoises. The site is a short walk from where the car is parked and you'll have to carry in your items. But it's nice to see the animals on the way to/from the car. There is a firepit, chairs, wooden picnic table, and bbq grill on site. Potable well water available at an outdoor sink. Firewood available for $10. Big Y and Caraluzzi supermarkets are both 10 minutes away. Our group had an amazing time and saw beautiful stars at night. Amy and Bill were terrific hosts and easy to communicate with! Highly recommend staying camping here.

Amazing experience. The place is so beautiful. Jack (the goat) was so cute and chicken running around. We had a great time. Will come back!
Beautiful and peaceful. The free range ducks and chickens and neighboring goats were a pleasant addition to the landscape and gorgeous scenery.
Our hosts accommodated us in every way and welcomed us into their space so generously.
Amy’s property is the best HipCamp experience I’ve had yet! I stayed at the meadows edge site, which overlooks the most beautiful meadow that lights up with fireflies in the evening. The campsite has a nice fire pit, a grill, chairs and other supplies ready to go. Amy, her husband, and their little dog Sophia were all incredibly welcoming to me and my little dog. Amy even gave me some great tips when I asked about activities in the area. One more bonus is that driving from Brooklyn to CT is far easier (and more beautiful) than driving upstate, or to Jersey. Hope I can stay here again soon.

Wow, what a great weekend get-away in Newtown! Amy and Bill are very chill and very welcoming. Their property is amazing too! Loved the hen brood that helped me set up camp. In the morning, I woke up in time catch a beautiful sunrise with my coffee. So nice to disconnect from my normal routine. I hope to be back again! 👍

Great hosts and VERY quiet with plenty of room to walk my dog.
What a big, beautiful space to relax and enjoy. The weather was rough, but I still enjoyed myself with the numerous fire pits and seating to relax and unwind. There were goats, chickens, and ducks, and they were nice to hang out with. It was a wonderful time, and I'll definitely be back.
I really enjoyed this Hipcamp. It was very quiet and peaceful. The Connecticut countryside is beautiful. The goats were very sweet and I enjoyed petting them. The chickens and ducks were nice as well. This campsite was far enough from the main house to give it a private feel. The parking spot for this site was close. I went kayaking nearby twice from two separate launch sites. The campsite has a nice picnic table, a fire pit and firewood for purchase if you don't bring any. I brought my own Luggable Loo for a toilet. Overall, I recommend this Hipcamp. I'd definitely consider coming back in the future. I used this trip as an opportunity to try a new Zonkoo inflatable tent. It definitely go tested with an overnight thunderstorm with sideways rain. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset and sunrise from the property.

As a mom with a five year old daughter we had such a great time! My daughter absolutely loved the goats and chickens, and the view from our camp site was amazing (perfect for stargazing) . It was a special experience for the both of us, and would love to come back soon.
The edible forest and farm animals were great!! Amy gave me some farm fresh eggs to try…..mmm delicious!!! I just wish the nuts and berries were in season! I will Definitely have to come again!!
Host was extremely friendly and helpful, and the winter camping was lovely! The goats were also a highlight of the trip, and I can definitely recommend this site!
This site was perfect for stargazing. Me and my girlfriend watched a great winter meteor shower. Amy was a great host and very easy to communicate with. The site was as advertised and we couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We enjoyed our stay here! It was very brief and unfortunately rainy when we stayed but a good experience. Amy was responsive and the directions to get there and where to park were clear. Very peaceful place. I hope we can explore the property next time we are up that way!
