Beautiful space! Open and flat field surrounded by gorgeous flowers and views of the surrounding mountains. Andy was a great host and very knowledgeable about the area. Loved my stay very much! Not much shade during the day, so if it’s going to be a hot day make sure to bring an umbrella or some sort of sun shelter. One note, which may be unique to the timing of my stay, was there appeared to be a shooting range across the street. I think it’s a B&B, according to the map. Don’t know if it’s a permanent fixture or something temporary, but it could get quite loud. It wasn’t a bother to myself and my dog, but I could see it being scary to some. Thank you, Andy!

So grateful!
Actually just stayed here for a few hours to rest after we were scammed by another listing.. so, I can't really review, sorry :( Perhaps we will pop back some day to write a proper one! On that note, the host immediately made me ware that they typically do not accept instant bookings and could not really offer us the full experience, but we were welcome to park on their property and rest. They even marked with signs so we didnt get lost. We were so grateful to have had somewhere safe to rest after a scary experience. This is the reason we Hipcamp - to meet kind people. Thank you!!!

Beautiful open space with pastoral and mountain views. Nice spot for tents and RV. Be sure to check the racing schedules as the site is very close in proximity - we arrived Saturday afternoon and stayed until Sunday so it wasn't an issue for us. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Good communication throughout the stay. Would come back!

Gorgeous land, Gracious host
I loved our stay at the farm! The property was absolutely gorgeous, and the host was nothing but gracious. He came up to camp briefly, and then just as quickly disappeared. It was great, because we knew he was close in case something came up. But we still had an abundance of privacy. There is some road noise as others have started. But it’s extremely minimal once the track closes and before it opens. We slept great. And about the track; how cool?! We were still a little banged up from the night before, but the host advised us we could ride the tree line of his property and end up right in the field of the car show on Sunday morning. We’ll definitely be back, and hopefully once the leaves are turning!

Great spot in the Middle Of A Field
Hopping Fox Farm was a great stop over for us on our long journey through the States. Great place in the middle of a field for a camp fire, views and relaxation. Andy and I had brief conversation. Communication via text was a fairly quick response. Andy also supplied us with wood for the camp fire. All in all, if we ever come through this area again, I would stay here again.

Pristine Views with a Race Track
Andy has beautiful land and views of the rolling Connecticut hills. He provided helpful suggestions for food, hiking, and had everything laid out for our arrival, which was fairly late. With the close proximity to Lime Rock, if you're a race fan, driver, or team, it would be a perfect spot to post up for the next race weekend. If not a race fan, come on an off week, or after the racing ends on Saturday night or during the week, to enjoy a pristinely quiet and green landscape.

Great location for Lime Rock!
If you are going to the track next door, this is a great location. Andy was friendly and helped point me in the right direction for where to find level ground. It rained all night but the morning was clear and I was able to get to the track. Beautiful location, highly recommended.

Andy made everything very easy! He was super kind and communicative, but also left us alone. We ordered the campfire wood and he even prepared all the kindling for us! The spot is what you think you’re getting: a big field! It’s very pretty.

Beautiful views and fantastic host!
Hopping Fox Farm was fantastic! The campsite was very private and the Mountain View’s were spectacular. Andy had firewood, water and electric hook-up waiting for us. We had access to hiking trails right outside our door. Thanks for a great experience Andy!

Great Spot to Make a Stop
The land was gorgeous and Andy is a great host. He made sure we were all set and then let us be to enjoy the landscape, the vista and the quiet. He provided a fire pit and wood to make it a picture perfect evening. We were not there when Lime Rock was active, but it is actually something we may come back to attend with our family. We look forward to making another trip to this special HipCamp spot.

Andy responded immediately to all inquiries, provided site specific directions and upon arrival, had water, electricity and a fire ring ready for use. He was friendly, welcoming and provided the lay of the land - including and directions of the hiking trails and the racing track. The views from Andy's land are breathtaking. The sunrises were amazing. My mountain bike adored the wide open, well tended fields. The hiking trails range from simple to vertical incline advanced and everything in between. He promised to take me up toward the Appalachian trails when I return to see the leaves color change...and I definitely will be returning.

A beautiful view of the Berkshires!
We had a beautiful view from our spot on Andy's property -- the moonrise over the ridge was a total "wow" factor. He was incredibly helpful as we arrived (even though we got there much later than anticipated), and he had water and electric ready for us. The firepit and firewood was MUCH appreciated. We were a short drive from town, and the whole area was lovely. (Note, we used the Housatonic Meadows State Park to empty our black/grey tanks for a $20 fee -- about 20 minutes away.)
