Great secluded spot with a fire pit and great night sky. Very clean privy nearby. Friendly, responsive host. Would definitely stay here again.

Probably one of the most secluded and amazing spots we’ve found in the NE. Love the spot; love the privacy and stars. Love the proximity to Mystic and the coast. Cant say enough great things about this sport for boondockers and off the grid types.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Forested Tent Site and loved it! We loved the privacy and secluded area surrounded by the forest. While the outhouse was around 80-100 yards away, it was very convenient and clean. The stars were amazing with no light pollution. It is a great place to get get away from the hustle and bustle of other campsites and life in general. We would definitely go back!

Peaceful, starry sky with a frog chorus. Occasional air traffic, but not a problem. No road noise! We used insect repellant, but not sure we needed it. Pretty spot!

THIS PLACE! It was amazing, private and it was nice to have a little bathroom down the road. The lock on the bathroom was a bit tricky to keep the door close, but having a bathroom was just a plus so 5 stars all the way. No issues with bugs or mosquitos and it was very well maintained. Would definitely return. I am from Colorado so it was nice to go camping again, though nothing will be like the classic mountain camping this was a little slice of heaven that brought back some amazing memories for me and my family. I would definitely recommend this place for camping!

Tent camping was great, secluded area but not too far from people in case of emergency. Accidentally drove too far up the driveway and ran into some tenants, but they were kind and helpful and directed us back

We loved this site! My daughter and I enjoyed two wonderful nights. Very private, very quiet and Emma is an excellent host! It was also so nice to be close to the beaches, spend the day there and then come back to the seclusion and quiet of this wonderful property.

We stayed at the Forested Tent Site for five days and had a mix of positives and negatives. The site was large, flat, and private, with a clean bathroom stocked with toilet paper. Mornings were filled with beautiful bird sounds, and stargazing at night was incredible. We saw deer and lots of wild bunnies, which were adorable (though there was a fair amount of bunny poop around). Despite being described as forested, the site was in full sun from about 8am to 7pm with very little shade. Unlike our previous Hipcamp stays, we were never greeted by the host and didn’t get a tour, which made the experience feel less welcoming and left us unsure if we could visit the farm animals. The biggest issue, though, was the flies—there were thousands, constantly swarming, which made cooking and eating nearly impossible. We recommend bringing pre-made meals if you plan to stay. Unfortunately, the fly problem was so overwhelming that we ended up leaving a day early. Overall, it’s a peaceful and scenic spot with potential, but the lack of shade, host presence, and fly issue were major drawbacks.

This was our first experience with Hipcamp/Boondocking. We may need to be more educated as to what to expect. Upon arrival, we were a little confused about where to set up. We made our best guess, and thankfully, it turned out that our host was OK with that, even though it wasn’t the proper location. The actual campsite would’ve been quite far from the outhouse; especially for a senior, who has to walk it during the night, maybe two or three times. Maybe this just isn’t the best option for camping for a senior citizen. The outhouse was relatively clean and the fresh wood smelled good! Thankfully, we had toilet paper with us because there was only a small amount left in the outhouse. Also, the cost is a bit high. Nearly as much as the cost at campgrounds with many more amenities. Otherwise, things were as expected. We would have liked to meet our host. Again, that may be a generational thing. To us camping is a travel AND social experience. seeing new places and meeting new people.

Great place to stay. Private, quiet, spacious, nice fire pit, and billions of stars in the night sky. The outhouse is recently built, very clean and well stocked with TP, hand sanitizer and sawdust. The host is very polite and responsive to questions. You can’t ask for more, perfect Hipcamp experience.

We really enjoyed our site. It was tucked away in the woods allowing us some privacy and be in nature. We were able to have a nice fire and enjoy the outdoors. The directions were clear and had no problem getting there. We would come back again!

Great spot, nicely secluded. Owner super nice. Outhouse as clean and nice as an outhouse can be.
Could do without the gun range nearby however, didn’t catch that when booking.

Good experience tent camping at Emma's! We didn't get to meet our hosts, and didn't get to explore too much with just 1 night, but it was really nice to be away from noisy campgrounds and roads.
We could hear dogs barking late into the night, but they eventually quieted down and we got to sleep. Some mosquitos in the evening, but bug spray did its thing. In the morning, there seemed to be lots of flies around the camp.
There was a lot of space to set up, find shade, make a fire, and just relax and listen to the birds. Even got a visit from a hummingbird :~) All in all, I would stay there again!

Very private and quiet. Very few mosquitos for summer months. Much better than there site I had in Maryland. Emma was quick to respond to questions and very helpful. This is a rural setting but Nice beaches and towns/shopping are just a 20-30 minute drive away. I plan on staying here again soon.

Nice spot up on a small knoll. Secluded and you feel all by yourself. Very quiet. We enjoyed it very much!
