"It's Real Rustic Out Here" This is NOT Glamping, this is the Real Rustic Camping Experience :) Stay in one of our homestead cabins outfitted to give you a taste of the past, or try your luck in the Sasquatch forest in our hanging tent and catch a glimpse of big foot or pitch your tent and enjoy your time with fresh running water from surrounding springs and a glowing campfire (Colorado Springs is currently under a strict Fire Ban - please visit bring safe portable cooking items) . Saddle up to the “Bunkhouse” and “Campfire”, open 10am-10pm daily. Snacks, a zero-proof saloon, wood-fired hot tub; sauna, games and laundry. Pull up a bench and stay a while. ***Yakalo Ranch (outfitter private land) is currently undergoing site improvements with Pikes National Forest, however we will accept reservations on a case by case basis.*** Yakalo Ranch a Hike-in, Hike-out experience focused on the core principle of "Leave No Trace" to "Pack it in, Pack it out", hence our motto: "It's Real Rustic Out Here" Beautiful Mountain Ranges, Natural Springs and Creeks, Amazing Rock Formations, Endless Trails, Historic Wells, Precious Metal Mines, Animals (Yakalos, Mini Highlands, Emus, Elk, Deer, Black bears, Turkey, Squires, Chickens, Peacocks, Ducks, Geese, Horses, and an occasional Moose), Exploring, and tons of Recreational Activities, wild strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and wild honey right at your fingertips. Hidden on the banks of the East Cheyenne Creek and along the historic Walter’s Well pipeline. Pipeline camp is nestled right up against the creek perfect for wading. Guests will enjoy 1/2 acre to themselves, please note, another campsite is visible across the river. There are no hookups at this site, or potable water, however you may pull from the river and natural springs on the property where filtering and boiling water is highly recommended. This site can fit a 4 man tent perfectly and a 6 man tent quite cozily.

Fallen Tree Camp

South East of the property and down Sleeping giant trail you’ll cross the banks of the year round creek that originates from a natural spring! Perfect for wading and deeper into Yakalo Ranch, a 10 min hike from the parking lot and next to our “Stonehenge’s Table” Rock formations and group gathering place. There are no hookups at this site, or potable water, however you may pull from the creek where filtering and boiling water is recommended. Make note of the No trespassing areas. A recent spring was discovered at this camp!!!

10 acers in (5-8 min walk), near Carsen Creek, private swimming hole, ducks nesting area, majestical rock formations, grand ponderosa pines; this is where the giants sleep and fairies play. We have also named a section of this campsite Galilee, and you will see why when you get there.

South East of the property and down Sleeping giant trail, stay left at the first two forks, then right at the 3rd fork, you’ll cross the rocks of the year round creek that originates from a natural spring! Perfect for wading and deeper into Yakalo Ranch, a 10 min hike from the parking lot and next to our “Stonehenge’s Table” Rock formations and group gathering place. There are no hookups at this site, or potable water, however you may pull from the creek where filtering and boiling water is recommended. Make note of the No trespassing areas.
