Brody is very quick at getting back to you if you have a question. He also provides a very nice fire ring. However for 40$ a night there is really nothing there. There is no water , no shower, no bathroom. You could do just as well driving up an old dirt road . My friends and I had an enjoyable time but not because of the site .

Easy to get to with Brody’s directions. Lots of space and good fire pit with plenty of wood to gather.

Family had a great weekend in this secluded campsite. Kids - ages 7 and 9 - loved exploring the area, which is surrounded by interesting vegetation that offers a unique visual environment. We camped under a new moon, so the stars were spectacular and the night was incredibly quiet.

Camp Wahatoya Drive up Site 1
We fell in love with this spot! I was happily surprised to learn that we were the only campers up there. I thought other campers would show up but, this spot is all yours for your time there! I loved that it was secluded enough to enjoy quiet time and it was a short drive away to town to get anything we may have forgotten. The Host was very kind in checking in with us to make sure we settled in. We definitely will be camping here again!

Camp Wahatoya was awesome! We were able to get to our campsite with our Sub Outback, no problem. Brody's directions were great. He was an awesome host and gave us privacy.
The site itself has a couple different spots to set up camp. We set up right near the fire pit since it was only us two. The trees are a bit small so don't expect to set up a hammock on them but we anticipated this and brought a stand. There was enough clearance between the trees to set up underneath and catch some shade and take a nap.
He also has a lot of firewood. I mean A LOT. We brought one bundle but we did not need it at all. We did bring a hatchet just to break up some large pieces but the abundance was excellent. No need to bring your own firewood at this site.
The stars at night were amazing. No light pollution makes it a wonderful spot to star gaze. You can hear the cayotes howling at night!
My only gripe is not with Brody or the site but with the previous campers. There was bucket left behind some trees that looks like it was used as a relief bucket. They didn't take it with them. Just rude. What's wrong with people!?
We did cut the trip short by a day due to flash flood warnings but we will definitely be back again. LOVE that site and again, Brody is awesome!

10/10 perfect campsite for me, very private and secluded exactly what I was looking for. Host gives lots of privacy and I will definitely be staying again.

The camp site was exactly as described. Very private if you can get into the actual site. We settled for a site just short of the site itself. We will be back. Brody was quick to respond to all of my questions via the Hipcamp app. We did not get to explore the property much because Lathrop is only 10 min away. Great fishing at both lakes.

The site was simple and hidden, that was moderately easy to get there. No signage, but manageable if you look for the fire rings. I appreciate this stop and would stay here again

Not a great spot for families. Not an easy sleep with barking dogs, dirtbikes, and gunshots. A bit noisey for a Monday night

This is a pretty campsite. It’s close to the owners home, but the site itself is fairly secluded by trees. The area is very remote and quiet.

Great site. 10 minute drive from Lathrop. Plenty of room to camp. We had two tents but there’s room for more.

then select a shady spot for your tent close by - have plenty of water and a strategy for toileting - as was expected and described exactly by the host, there are none here. Plan for solitude and privacy. The main house is in sight but it is of no consequence as you are left in privacy by the host. If the fire ban is lifted there is plenty of wood on the property to make a fire.

The actual spot was great, unfortunately we had to settle for an impromptu “spot near the spot” that ended up working just fine! The last leg of the road down into the site is a little too rough and there isn’t enough clearance for a 16ft camper. Give me a couple hours, a shovel, and a chainsaw and I could definitely make it down there (and more importantly, back up). :)
Overall it was a great time, very nice piece of property, tons of free fire wood on site!
