Uncle Charlie’s Ranch is an escape from the big city, we are only 45 minutes from Denver. Our property hosts the experience of Colorado’s nature and so much more; we offer therapeutic spring water soaks, warmed via our wood burning stove, fresh mountain spring drinking water and easy access to local trails and fun. Our lake is paddle board friendly, and while we do not offer fishing on the property, there are several locations nearby to fish. Message us for more information regarding camp sites and things to do!Our property includes 30 acres of lake views, grassy meadows and secluded forest spots that are all accessible for camping. The property is surrounded by 7000+ acres of Arapahoe National Forest. We are 5 minutes from the Hidden Treasure mountain trail, 8 minutes to Black Hawk/Central City and 20 minutes to Nederland. You can hike, mountain bike and paddle board, all within our property lines. Uncle Charlie’s Ranch

I stayed at Matt’s property in Blackhawk over the 4th of July, and it was a wonderful experience. The property is expansive and incredibly peaceful, offering a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating and respectful, ensuring that all my needs were met without being intrusive. The quietness of the area made for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to unwind in a serene setting.

If you are looking for a remote, high Mountain, mostly private getaway to camp for a few nights – this is a great spot. Lots of room, beautiful scenery, and plenty of wildlife.

Private campground

Beautiful space & a private campsite! There was a lovely little stream that ran close to our tent. Very peaceful, clean and well kept. Matt was alap available to help us with everything we needed.

Awesome and solitary

it was awesome, hosts were super nice and there were some really cool hiking trails nearby, would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, simple, away from the rest of the world campsite.

Uncle Charlie’s Ranch

Gorgeous property and down to earth people! My wife and I were there for 6 days over the holiday weekend and enjoyed every bit of it…from the fresh mountain air, flowers, trees, bird songs and occasional deer, it was everything we needed and then some. We were too busy taking in everything at our campsite that we didn’t get to hang out by the water so we’re planning a return trip. Thank you to Matt and team for your hospitality and mountain man Todd for the stories and jump start!
