RV River 5 - 50/30amp pull-through
Riverfront campsite
Nice location on the river. It's about a 30 minute (beautiful) drive from Royal Gorge and Cañon City, with just a gas station and convenience store on the other side in Cotopaxi. We didn't have any issues while we were there. Firewood is available for purchase. Knocked it down a star due to the road noise at night.

Right on the river
My husband and I took our trailer to SRR for a couple of days. Lovely and relaxing. Right on the Arkansas River. Lots of rafters floating by and some folks fishing. Close to Hwy 50 but we really didn’t notice a lot of traffic noise, but it was mid-week. Good spot to camp!

CORRAL #2
I am hesitant to write this review because this place is almost too special to share with others! Nestled in the Arkansas River Valley, with the river flowing high just near our campsite, and with snow capped peaks visible in the distance - this place was wonderful. The suspension bridge was exhilarating and added a thrill to an idyllic campsite. We’re already planning our trip for next summer!

Incessant dog barking allowed here
I had planned on giving this spot a five star review. However, I’m downgrading it to 2.5 stars. The park is small, right by the river, and easy to find. There is a bathhouse which could use some simple upgrades like the plastic chairs in the shower stalls. They are old and look dirty. For the price of plastic chairs, it’s a small way to improve the aesthetics of something naked people sit on. The hand dryer also doesn’t work and there are no paper towels. It’s better than toileting in the woods so these were minor to us. The reason for the major downgrade in stars is because a single woman and her dog arrived at the close spot next to ours around 9pm. Her dog barked the entire time she set up. It started again 545-600 am when she started loading up. She moved to another spot by the river not too far from us. It continued barking nonstop. I could hear it all the way up at the bathhouse. Didn’t fault the host UNTIL I came out and saw him teaching her to fish while the dog barked incessantly. Neither said a word to the dog even though it had been three hours of it barking. We finally yelled to tell them to do something. She told us to ignore it, we said we are also paying for our site so no, we would not. The host didn’t say anything to her or us but she finally put the dog in her car. If you don’t expect a host to help guests with noise or this kind of situation, stay here. Had he dealt with the situation on his own, this would have been 5 ⭐️ for the location alone.

Group Tent Site
We did not appreciate that this is basically an RV camp on the side of US 50. There is road noise. You are also right next to the river, which is nice but pretty buggy. Very basic site. Pros are the flush toilet bathrooms (3 stalls) and 2 showers. We decided to leave after one night because the site was not what we were expecting - not the same quality as our previous Hipcamp bookings
