Sweetwater River Resort is located on the Arkansas river, 30 minutes from Canyon City and 30 minutes from Salida where Hwy 50 follows the river through Bighorn Canyon. CORRAL #2

AMAZING RV TRIP!

Even though we stayed for a short night, the host was so eager to make us feel welcomed and even accommodated things for our arrival time. Once we got there we were helped by the camping manager helping us finding wood on the camping area even though it was night so my girlfriend and I would get the full bonfire experience on a chilly night. Also, the area has an amazing bridge where you can just lay down at night and stargazing while hearing the river in the most nature connecting way. Bathrooms were also an amazing plus with hot water showers. We were able to connect our RV with no issues. I would 1000% recommend this place to whoever love a good adventure and nature!

CORRAL #1

Very quiet and secluded, which was exactly what I was looking for! I felt very safe, especially traveling alone. Would definitely recommend and come back. Beautiful views. i met who I thought was the owner or manager of the campground. He introduced himself and offered free firewood, along with free bottled water. Very nice and welcoming. Absolutely loved!
