Our family-owned noncommercial ranch/campground is nestled against the Raspberry Butte hillside and near the Front Range Mountains on the West side of Highway I-25. It is 51 acres of rolling hills, Ponderosa Pine, and Douglas Fir Trees. Our property extends halfway up Raspberry Butte therefore there are lots of large rocks on our property. It is a working ranch with several horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs. Due to the fire risks in our area there are NO CAMPFIRES ALLOWED which includes propane fires. On our property you will see an enclosure with Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, ducks, and two donkeys. You can enter the enclosure BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Our eight-stall barn is where we feed our horses and raise our baby goats, chicks, and foals. We offer our hip campers an opportunity to learn how to care for our animals; horseback rides in a round pen; and a dump station. Just sign up at the time you book your stay under EXTRAS. Thirty acres of our property are fenced for the horses and located directly behind the campsites. In addition, we have lots of wildlife including but not limited to: Deer, Elk, Coyotes, Bobcats, Wild Turkeys, Mountain Lions, Snakes, and Bears. We are approximately 2 miles from the town of Larkspur between Spruce Mountain Road and Perry Park Road. (Please note Google Maps will try and send you to a location on Perry Park Road which is incorrect. Please refer to the map located on this website.) Due to our remote location, we have spotty Wifi. Typically ATT, Starlink, and TMobile work best. Verizon reception can be located at certain spots around our ranch. There are three restaurants located in the town of Larkspur including pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. There is also a large park with lots of kids' play equipment. During the summer there are concerts at the park on the weekends. We are approximately 2 miles from the Colorado Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur. The Renaissance Festival typically runs between June and July. We are 10 miles from the town of Palmer Lake which has fishing, kayaking, and several restaurants. Spruce Mountain hiking trails are 2-3 miles away. We are approximately 40 miles north of Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, and Manitou Springs. We are approximately 40 miles south of Denver and all of its attractions. Campers will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability when camping with us. The following is a copy of the Waiver: WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY (Please email to: TeresaSOrtez@msn.com) IN CONSIDERATION OF the risk of injury that exists while participating in CAMPING (hereinafter the “Activity”) at Standiford Ranch LLC with restricted access to horses, donkeys, goats, dogs, and other various farm animals, and IN CONSIDERATION OF my desire to participate in said Activity and being given the right to participate in the same: I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives (hereinafter collectively, “Releasor,” “I,” or “me,” which terms shall also include Releasor’s parents or guardian if Releasor is under 18 years of age), knowingly and voluntarily enter into this WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY and hereby waive any and all rights, claims, or causes of action of any kind arising out of my participation in the Activity. Site 2 50' long backs to pond
We stayed in spot 2 over 4th of July and we were so happy with our spot. Our host, Theresa was so friendly and helpful. We were able to fill our water tank for our camper at their barn, the site was clean and they provide a picnic table for each spot. They have a goats, donkeys and horses plus roosters and chickens which were a great hit for the kids to see and interact with.

Beautiful mountain escape
We had a great time at Teresa place. Love the animals and the campsite was just perfect for us. We had a big group and it was more then enough room. We stayed a few days and loved it. The animals are so fun to see we loved the donkeys and goats. Something I would recommend would be some stone fire pits that you could put your gas fire pit in so it would not blow away. I would camp there in the fall! Teresa gave us some fresh eggs and ideals on things to do. Parmer lake was beautiful and we had lunch in Monument yummy 😋 We will definitely be back in is was a peaceful beautiful place.

Site 6 Backs to the horse pasture
Trees, Goats, and Quiet
This was our first time using Hipcamp, and we are very pleased with this location. It is just outside of the small town of Larkspur. Thankfully, our maps routed us to the correct location, and we found it easily. Almost all of the sites had decent shade, and we were very pleased with Site 6 for the horseshoe configuration. It was directly across from the goats and donkeys where you could watch them and be entertained by their silliness. You can also see the chickens, ducks, and vocal rooster at the top of the animal area. It does back to a horse pasture, but we didn’t see the horses down that way. We had to walk to the top of the drive to see them, and they are very sweet. We enjoyed interacting with the goats, donkeys, and horses during our stay. If you purchase the extra add on for a dump, it is up the drive toward the barn across from the house. It isn’t marked so look for the sewer hose on the side. We were able to turn around fairly easily just outside of the barn area to go back down the drive and out. Everyone was very friendly that stayed there when we were there. There was a fire ban when we were there so no outdoor fires. We truly joyed our time there, and look forward to returning next year.
