Simply Shaanti means Simply Peace. We bought this property because of the beautiful view of the mountains and the amazing ridgeline that runs through the property. My boys and I have decided to build our home here and open this gorgeous space to hipcampers. The 35 acres extends down into the ridge which has a nice walking path. Castle Rock, is a small city with cute restaurants and walking paths. Its a wonderful place to explore and relax. If you’re looking to get away from the city without a long drive, this is the perfect place. A gorgeous primative area to camp, enjoy the view, stars and wildlife. A quick drive , about 35 mins from Downtown Denver, with an amazing mountain feel. Set up camp down in the ridge and enjoy the view up above! Enjoy the convenience of being 10 mins from Downtown Castle Rock, Castle Rock Canyons and other fun hiking trails.

Site 1 - Simply Shaanti
She was not at home but it was a same day booking so she had late notice. It was quiet, no road noise. We took a a short hike into a grassy ravine and we saw two deer and a lot of cool rocks. But it was late and the sunset was beautiful, we could see Pike's Peak snow- covered mountain in the distance. Easy parking area for a small RV but it was right next to her home, but she wasn't home so no close lights. It was only a drive 10 minutes the next morning to Castlewood Canyon and great hiking to a very old set of remains of a 50 ft high dam that was built in the 1930s and broke and flooded all the way to Dnver wit 3-6 feet of water. The vallet there is beautiful and lush patures and hiking trails.

Fun time at Rajul's
I truly enjoyed staying for several nights at Rajul"s. She is a super nice person and allowed me to go hiking in the canyon behind her home. I saw several deer, including a nice buck. Every morning I heard an owl. I tend to be attracted to places where there is peace and quiet. That is what you will get at her place even though you are close to amenities. I will certainly stay at her place again. It you want peace and quiet and a truly nice host this is where I would stay.

Simply Shaanti
We loved staying at Simply Shaanti- not once but twice as we crossed the country while contactless camping. Rajul was absolutely a joy to connect with in advance, during and after our stays- she is timely in her response and makes you feel welcomed while giving you the feeling that you are camping away from it all while on her property! She was particularly supportive and respectful regarding our COVID concerns. We camped on two different sites- both comfortable! Each night there was another camper; however, the site was still quiet and we felt as if we had the place to ourselves. The views are stunning and we watched a full moon rise and beautiful sunrise during our stays- so lovely. The fields were dotted with yellow wildflowers and both cows and horses were nearby in addition to the deer who make their home just down from the property. Castle Rock makes it easy to get supplies, which was a plus as it was our mid-way point in both directions. We plan to be back this coming summer and look forward to another stop at Simply Shaanti!
