Enjoy the privacy of this wonderful goat farm situated just northwest of the Overlook Campground in Buena Vista, Colorado. It sits at 8500 feet with spectacular views of the Collegiate Peaks, 10 minutes from downtown Main Street, countless hiking trails, and rafting companies! This property backs up to BLM and connects with the Midland bike trail system. This property is unique due to the close proximity to dairy goats, and the ability to tour the farm if you so choose. The camping spot is in a secluded area of the property with easy access parking, and away from the main house. There is a 6-person tent set up near an old loading shed with a queen sized cot, an available metal fire pit, wood, and plenty of space to spread out or pitch additional tents. Plenty of rock outcroppings surround the space to give you your own private retreat. Please note that our road does include passing our neighbor on your way up. Directional rock cairns lead the way to this fun space! Goat tours are available upon request. On occasion the goats free range on the property and may pass by this space. If you want to camp in privacy and enjoy the idea of staying near a working goat farm, with chickens, guinea fowl & a rooster you will likely hear, the ability to quickly get into BLM and hike the many trails then this is place for you!Stallion Site This spacious and secluded site offers spectacular views of Mt. Princeton, the chalk cliffs, Mt. Antero and beyond. To the south, you can see Ruby Mountain and in the distance, the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. Surrounded by amazing rock outcroppings, on this wonderful goat farm you’ll have access to a ten person tent, which includes a fully enclosed covered queen sized bed and box spring. Also included, you’ll find a fire-pit with wood, renovated loafing shed with solar string lights, a picnic table, and loads of space to allow for other tents you may bring and set up. You can see the farm behind you and may occasionally hear guinea fowl and a rooster, along with bleats from our sweet herd of goats. We are a working farm so you may occasionally hear our ATVs. We’d be happy to provide a tour - just ask! The road up to our home does pass by below the space, but it’s not highly traveled. We want you to enjoy the aite and have fun! For your safety, please do not climb on the rocks. We hope you enhoy your stay so much that you will refer us to others, and return again and again. The best views, thank you so much! We had the best time relaxing and enjoying your space. We brought out 18ft rpod and was such an easy set up. Can’t get over the views, sunrise and sunsets! Spectacular! Loved also being around tress, we loved walking our dogs around the property. They had a great time, we will be back!

I had a great time staying at Jennifer’s goat ranch! The tent was already set up for us with cots; everything was super clean and tidy. It made for an easy time checking in and getting back to the action in Buena Vista. The fire pit and fold out table was a really nice touch. Highly recommend!

I loved tent camping on Sarah’s land. The sunset was gorgeous. It was easy to find. The table and campfire chairs were nice, and the tent was spacious. The air mattress was really comfortable. Great views!

The views are spectacular! The tent was spacious. The bed was comfy. Jennifer and her husband, were kind and helpful. It was a peaceful trip and I can't wait to do it again.

Relaxing space and close to fun!

Jennifer & Sean were very responsive to questions and communication. Our group were friends and family coming together to raft and kayak our favorite river for a weekend. Some of us have been boating the Arkansas river for over 30 & 40! years here and are used to camping around the area. Their goat ranch is well located for river access and we had plenty of room for our raft trailers. We would love to come back again.

Jennifer and Sean were great hosts! Their site had a great view, and my kids loved visiting the chickens and goats. Being so close to town, but still secluded was amazing. Jennifer was very responsive when we asked questions. We’ll be back!

I loved this Hipcamp location! Because my main purpose was to have a safe place to stay while tackling a few 14ers, I didn't have any time to meet the goats or the host (and I was up before the roosters 😬). The farm/campsite was very easy to find. The tent was very spacious and clean, a bit of dust had settled on the bedsheet before I checked in, but I appreciated that it was set up at all. Luckily I had brought my own sleeping bag so it didn't bother me after shaking the sheet outside. Jennifer was communicative leading up the the reservation and let me know about the fire ban ahead of my arrival. I will be back!
