Located on 120 acres just 19 miles from The Great Sand Dunes National Park entrance - Rustic Rook Resort offers BYO (bring your own) tent sites, Glamping Tents, Grain Bin Studio Villas and Camper Cabins. Take in the majestic views of the massive 14,000ft tall Sangre De Cristo mountain range towering over the sand dunes right from your site. Our glamping and BYO tents include breakfast and S'mores by the campfire every day and our Camper Cabins include S'mores by the campfire each night. New in 2024! We have 5 BYO (bring your own) tent camping sites available. BYO tent sites are in a different area than our glamping sites but share SOME of the same amenities the same quiet hours :). Differences are: After checking in at the lobby you will drive to a different entrance and park and park at your BYO tent site. Each site has one parking spot. Additional vehicles can be kept in the main parking lot for $10ea/stay. Your site will have a gravel pad for (1) tent, a picnic table, and a charcoal grill (charcoal available for purchase at the lobby). You will have the use of the community bath house – just a short walk away. Breakfast at the lobby and S’mores by the community campfire is also included in your stay. We have several propane fire pits available to rent for $45/stay, this includes 1 propane tank. Replacement tanks are $30/ea. If you pre-order this, we will have it set up at your site for you. You are also welcome to bring your own. Wood burning fires are not permitted by campsites – but you are welcome to enjoy the community wood burning fire lit each night. All fires must be out by 9:30pm.

New to Hipcamp but opening for our th season! Homestead tent with king bed: Each of our (25) large comfortable Homestead tents come with a king size bed, 2 double beds, or 3 single beds depending on what you reserved and a wood burning stove. We also have (5) estate tents that have in-tent plumbing (see our website to book an estate tent). Your Homestead tent stay includes the use of our conveniently located community bathroom with 6 private stalls, hot showers, flushing toilets, and sinks. Count on the following being provided: ➼ All bedding ➼ Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash ➼Use of nearby community bathrooms (1-2 min. walk from your tent) ➼up to 2 cots can be added to your tent for $15ea/stay. ➼Mountain/Sand Dune views from your private deck ➼ Hot Farm to table Breakfast (locally sourced!) ➼S’mores by the camp fire each night ➼lanterns and a USB charging station ➼(1) bundle of fire wood/night & fire starting kit. Additional fire wood available for purchase. ➼Max occupancy: (4) people – price includes 2 people. Add $30/night per additional person. ➼ Max dog occupancy: (2) – add $25/dog per stay (to be collected upon arrival) if not charged through HipCamp. Sled rentals are also available for rent ($20ea) from our lobby, we also sell soda, ice cream bars, beer, wine and a small verity of other items at our camp store. You can also purchase a grill pack or adventure lunch from us (48 hour notice required). Rustic Rook Resort features 30 canvas tents on wooden platforms - all tents are fully furnished and some have - in-tent plumbing. Please search for Rustic Rook resort online to find our website for additional lodging options, events, camp activities, packing suggestions, things to do in the area etc. Your tent is private along with your porch with mountain and sand dunes views - shared spaces include the picnic area with gas grills, horseshoes, corn hole, dog park, kids sand box and big wheels track, sunrise loop trail, volleyball (ask to borrow a volleyball), and frisbee golf course ($2 frisbee rentals). We also have Yoga on Saturday mornings and a monthly dark sky photography class. Be sure to check out our website for additional information , food options and pictures. Our breakfast is limited to Breakfast burritos with meat (locally sourced), egg and cheese kids burritos, and oatmeal. Guest access Community areas include the lobby, outdoor game areas, dog park, frisbee golf course, volleyball, Restroom/showers, walking paths, community fire pits. Other things to note Please pack accordingly - it's glamerious camping - but you will still be staying in a tent. Check the weather and make sure to bring clothing options - think layers... We suggest warm sleeping clothes also to help keep you warm in the evenings and mornings. Sun Screen, chap stick, etc. Check our our website for additional packing ideas.
