Rocky Mountain High Camping Co
The camp location has moved so disregard all photos from before June 2018. As the new camp describes you will be reserved a spot at Idlewild Campground. Since these are first come, first serve sites and the change was last minute the hosts were unable to get a spot at Idlewild for us. Instead they reserved is a site at a different campground about 15 miles away with absolutely no shade or trees. Additionally, they informed me of the change on the morning of our arrival and only paid for one night of our 4 night stay/reservation at the campground so I had to pay at the campground and be refunded by the hipcamp host. Overall, this experience was not what I expected and ended up being a bigger hassle than it was worth for a less desirable campground than I booked (and a very tight fit for 6 people). Maybe it will be different on a less busy week but if you have a tent, I'd go find your own site and save yourself the frustration and uncertainty of this booking.

Rocky Mountain High Camping Co
My boyfriend and his sister and I stayed here with our pupper and had a great time! The woods are beautiful and there are lots of great hiking trails nearby. The town is quite close too so if you don't feel like heating water in the morning, it's a short drive for coffee. My favorite part about it was the stream running by just a short walk away- absolutely beautiful! The fire pit was great and the tent/bed set up was comfy. It did rain while we were there which meant that our bags got wet since we were set up in actual tents not the glamping hut/tents in the photos. That was a bit of a surprise but we still had a great time and would recommend it!

We loved staying at Rocky Mountain High! Because the road to the actual campsite was closed (we were too early in the season) we camped at a spot that was closer to other camp sites. However, the tents were set up beautifully and we really appreciated the mattresses in the tents. We loved the area, and would definitely come back.
