The original homestead cabin from 1903 is still here! This became our home when my husband retired because it is his dream. Our Highland cattle have personality plus!! The river wrapping around the ranch at the foot of the mountain washes away the stress and leaves a peace here that fills the spirit with calm. We love the land, the bald eagles, the wildlife, our guests and each other! Learn more about this land: Sleep in your RV with the sound of the river lulling you to recharge and just breath in the peace. We have a great boat ramp with a put-in and a place to kayak, tube, raft or fish! Great hiking trails nearby and a quiet country road to bike that the big bike races use. Our Scottish Highland cows give kisses are happy to share your carrots, apples and watermelon! Peace on the river!

We had a lovely stay right on the river. It is a very mellow section of the river so my young kids could play in the water without too much concern. We floated right from there down stream.

Cute cows & hookups

Beautiful views, camping by a river, friendly cute cows, and gracious hosts make this a place we'll return to at least a couple more times. The electrical hookup (30A) worked fine and Nancy has hose/potable water available; next time I'll haul my trailer over the divide and Vail pass w/the fresh water tank empty then fill up when I get there. There's a beautiful (but a bit long) drive to Steamboat. Gas is pricey in Gypsom and Steamboat but Glenwood Springs and Rifle are relatively close by. The sites are well kept and the roads to their ranch are paved until their driveway (which is dirt but easily traveled w/RV in tow). The WiFi also works great.

God’s Country

Hosts were very down to earth and welcoming. The property was awesome with beautiful river and sandstone hills. The property is off the road in nice Valley right next to the river. No store close by. Bring everything you need for your stay. Would definitely return!

20 Minutes away from Gypsum.

Great space! The hosts are very friendly. But it was my mistake not to MapQuest the directions as it was at least 20 min out of Gypsum. I was looking for something closer to the highway/ closer to town. But the host was super nice.
