Hosted by Glenn, Kate, Pavie, RuRu and our hands, PR Ranch is a gorgeous property located in the beautiful San Juan Valley. The Ranch has over 2 1/2 miles of private trout stream running through, for fly fishing. Available rentals include a large main cabin bedroom/bath, 2 bedroom bunkhouse and 3 private riverfront campsites. Free Firewood Learn more about this land: Located on a large working cattle ranch . Serenity is guaranteed at the bunkhouse in an Aspen Grove near the paddock with fire pit. It's a lovely private setting, but not far from the main cabin and the river. Shooters, you've found your spot. There are long and short gun ranges on the ranch. The 3 campsites are private and located directly on the river, each with its own fire pit and free firewood. Miles of hiking trails without leaving the property, and the National Forest is located 2 miles up the road for further adventures. Fly fishing for stocked rainbow trout on the premises! Seven separate reaches guarantee an exclusive expierience. Professional fishing guides are available by appointment. All inclusive fishing packages upon request.

You've found it! A beautiful waterfront campsite on a working ranch. The Alamosa river runs right through the ranch. Fishing, hiking, it's all here! The ranch is in the gorgeous San Luis valley not far from Sand Dunes National Park. Convenient to Monte Vista and Alamosa for breweries, restaurants and groceries. See reviews on our other listing all 5 stars- "Camp next to the river on a ranch! As the reviews say, the ranch owner is a long-time host and all-around great guy. If you want, he will take you on a fun ATV tour of the ranch or join you on the shooting range. He's always up to share a beer or a bourbon at sunset! There are 4 campsites, all on the river, on the ranch. (2 are next to each other, perfect for larger groups.) Plenty of room for 4 people and their dogs! Enjoy your coffee on the deck before a day of hiking or fly fishing on the property. Or just relax. Lots of space to chill, inside and out! Cannabis-friendly. Cabin with 2 bedrooms, living room, full bath & kitchenette. Charming ranch style decor! Fire pit, free firewood. Bunkhouse guests have access to the hot tub and to the large wrap-around deck on the main cabin that houses the large Weber Grill. The Alamosa River is right down the path.

Campsite 3 - Riverside campsites
This is a little secret I hate to let people know about. We were the only ones camping this week. We had the entire place to ourselves. We ran into the owner and 2 ranch hands a couple of times, but besides that we were all alone. The owner and ranch hands were extremely nice. The fly fishing was top notch. I fished for 3 days and caught 15-18 inch trout every day. The river was maintained very well. We were here the first week of October and the colors of the trees was unbelievable. My wife wanted seclusion, river, and colors. I wanted fly fishing. We got everything we both wanted. I want to visit this ranch again.

Beautiful spot on the river! County rd next to it but is rarely used. I did have some families of Amish drive by in horse and buggy. Good fishing. River was low but I managed a handful over a day and a half, one 18”. Height of leaves changing and so colors were amazing. Great hosts. Provide all firewood too!

Campsite 1 Fly fish in the river
We stayed at site#1. It was truly one of the most amazing sites we’ve stayed at, and we’ve stayed at several. Glenn’s ranch is about 20 min from Monte Vista. The Alamosa River cuts through much of it. Site #1 sits right off of the road, which is no big deal because there is very little traffic that comes through that county road. The site is big and flat with plenty of shade. Sits directly on the river with a nice shallow wading area. My husband enjoyed lots of fly fishing & caught several fish. There are 2 nice fire pits & a grate. Glenn was very accommodating & communication was easy. We enjoyed meeting him & learning about the area & ranch. Hope to be back again sometime. I suspect my husband will look him up to come back to stay on the ranch & flyfish someday:)
