Ponderosa Campground and Cabins stands out as a serene retreat nestled among a stunning blend of pine, aspen, and cottonwood trees alongside the picturesque Conejos River. This unique location offers guests a tranquil escape while providing access to a variety of outdoor adventures. Our campground features 20 RV sites and 6 cozy cabins, ensuring a comfortable stay for all visitors. Four of our cabins are equipped with a bedroom, kitchen, and bath, while the remaining two offer a kitchenette and sleeping accommodations. Guests can also take advantage of our small store, which stocks fly fishing supplies and licenses, as well as laundry facilities and clean restrooms. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy, including fishing, hiking, biking, jeeping, ATVing, and hunting. For a memorable experience, hop aboard the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Train, accessible from either Antonito, Colorado, or Chama, New Mexico. This historic train ride is the highest and longest narrow-gauge railroad in North America, offering a glimpse into Colorado's rich history. Additionally, explore the Los Caminos Antiguos Scenic Byway, which traces the paths of the Spanish Conquerors.
