40 acre property overlooking 11-mile reservoir. This property currently has a well drilled and a fire pit installed. More being added regularly. Wildlife in the area are Antelope, Cattle, Elk, Deer, and a large herd of Big Horn Sheep live in the hills to the north of the property. Surrounded by Stoll Mountain, Pulver Mountain, and Puma ridge this is a great open location for RV, Bus, Sprinter, Van, or Tent camping. This area is a 10 minute drive to multiple reservoirs and the Dream Stream which is some of the best fishing in Colorado. Boats, rafts, etc are allowed on different reservoirs. Hiking, ATV trails, fossils, gems, rafting, skiing are all very close to this location. Come enjoy the great outdoors!

You're welcome to pitch a tent anywhere on the 40 acres. The northern corners (off Stoll Mountain Road) and the southeast corner has wooden fence posts that signify the boundaries of the property. Anywhere within this area is fine to camp. Spaces are not marked, but please allow distance from neighbors if they exist. Everyone should be able to enjoy a full acre to themselves.

Tons of wildlife! Saw plenty of pronghorn, deer, eagles, and a massive heard of bighorn sheep. It’s a very open area which means the view is great, but it can get extremely windy in the afternoon.

I absolutely loved this spot! Surrounded 360° by the beautiful mountains of Colorado and felt so free to be able to set up wherever I felt called to on the property :) Will definitely stay here again!

Quiet, remote and peaceful location with a beautiful view of Eleven Mile Reservoir and the valley. Saw antelope and wild burros. Near enough to explore Florissant and Tarryall Reservoir area as well as Eleven Mile and Spinney Mountain Reservoirs. Take San Juan St south from 24 (instead of High Chaparral Rd). You have to back track a bit if you are coming in from Colorado Springs but trust me just do it. You will arrive with your nerves and teeth intact. There are small barrel cactus throughout the area so be careful if you have a dog. I minimized my dog walking around the campsite and took her down to the reservoir for hikes instead. There are some cattle bones on the property just as a heads up but it is in the wilderness with cows roaming around so that's not unusual. Very much enjoyed the solitude and will be back.

The views were amazing, overlooking Eleven Mile Reservoir and next to Stoll Mountain. Also, the farm animals around were a bonus. Made friends with a herd of friendly donkey.

Jeff’s land is nestled near the stunning Eleven Mile Canyon, this campsite offers a serene escape with breathtaking mountain views. The fire pit was great, providing a cozy spot to unwind under the stars. Wildlife sightings were abundant, with lots of cows, a few deer and antelope, and a whole herd of bighorn sheep, that was definitely a highlight for us! The exact sight was a bit difficult for us to find at first, but Jeff with very helpful in providing more direction via Hipcamp messaging. The ground was a bit hard, making setting up our tent a bit challenging. Driving the stakes in fully proved difficult, and when strong winds picked up, our tent unfortunately caved in. Despite this minor setback, the otherwise relaxing atmosphere and picturesque scenery made for a memorable experience. With a bit of extra preparation for securing your tent, this campsite is a fantastic choice for nature lovers seeking a peaceful getaway.
