I loved parking on Chris’s land. The view was breathtaking! Chris was very good with communication before and during my stay. The area was quiet, the stars were gorgeous, and you can see the dunes from his property! 10/10

As a hiker, the best part of staying here was Chris's knowledge of the area. I had two days and, because of Chris's recommendations, they were wonderful days.
Chris has a beautiful spot in Alamosa with incredible views of the mountains. He has created an oasis on his land that has everything you might need when camping or RV'ing.
He is setup perfectly for enjoying both sunrise and sunset on his property and has comfortable spots to relax, cook and grab a much welcome solar heated shower.
I'll definitely return here on the next trip through. Great host!
Chris's place was perfect for what we needed. Super close to the Dunes entrance, Chris was also very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Fresh water was made available, the navy shower worked great on a hot afternoon. Chris's friendly dog got along with ours too. The wind... was something else, but I'm from the flat lands and learned it's just a perk of the area!
Great host! We decided last minute to keep driving and needed a spot we could stop at pretty late at night. He allowed us to come and had everything set up and ready for us with all the instructions! The site felt very safe. He greeted us in the morning and sent us on our way! We grabbed breakfast at a cafe in the next town and headed to the sand dunes!
Extremely accommodating host helped us find the site in the dark. Beautiful view of Mt Blanca, only 20 minutes to the Sand Dunes! Toilet, solar, shower and drinking water were all a huge plus. A very peaceful place to stay.

Chris’s campsite was in a beautiful location right in San Luis Valley surrounded by mountains. Chris was very accommodating and had a table and chair for us as well as a gas fire pit to use. There was a flush toilet which was very nice and a solar shower which got nice and warm during during the day. Chris went above and beyond and even offered for us to stay in his RV when weather wouldn’t allow for us to set up camp! There are no trees around so if you were looking for some shade, this isn’t the place for you, it was also very windy in the valley, but if you can deal with those things, the location was beautiful and I would definitely recommend to others!

Mt. Blanca Vista
We had a great night car camping on Chris's property! It was a great home base for our Great Sand Dunes National Park adventure. It was nice to have a toilet and wifi on site, there is decent cell phone coverage in the area. We had a pretty quiet night, did hear some coyotes and dogs barking in the distance. Alamosa is about a 15min drive away and has everything you would need. Chris was super friendly and helpful! He left chairs and a table, water and toilet paper for us. He provided directions which made the property easy to find. The surrounding mountains made for a lovely location, and we enjoyed stargazing!
Easy to access and close to both Alamosa and the dunes. Chris was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed while still letting us be. Spectacular views. Our only complaint was that there were no trees or land masses so there’s not much privacy from the neighbors, road or elements. But to be fair, we saw that in the pictures/map and knew to expect it. The site was as promised and worth the stay!
