My family and I camped in tents here and loved it. Walking distance to the reservoir with beautiful views. The restaurant nearby was open and had great food. There was one outhouse near the camp that was very clean. I would definitely come back.

Lovely Lake Views
We had a great view from spot 12. Sites were clean and having full hook ups was a plus. Close to the Island boat launch which is very convenient. Nice hiking trail, North Trail, near the entrance to the lodge.
One of the draw backs was only having a communal fire pit instead of one at each site. Looks like there was a pit there at one time.
Overall we would probably come here again and would recommend to others.

Great place to visit. Better for camper vans than tent camping because you do not get much privacy nevertheless would recommend this place. Porter potty was clean, lodge offers rentals food and you can rent kayaks.

This place is the perfect spot if you like convenience. Close to the lake to recreate and also very close to Collbran to explore the quaint town. Beautiful location, and a great lunch spot at the Lodge with a million amazing Hummingbirds. Probably my best day ever!

Wow!! What a gem of a spot if you choose to camp with full 30-amp hookups. The spots are on an elevated lot with a great view of Vega Reservoir and the surrounding mountains. We camped in #13 which had a larger lawn space and a small fire pit (allowed when fire bans are not in effect). We spent our days canoeing and paddleboarding on the lake. I would recommend this campsite for anyone looking for a good spot while enjoying the lake!

This is a nice property- The RV sites have water, power and each spot has a concrete pad and dump station.
If you are a hiker or biker, I would head up to Grand mesa through Colbran. Quads have all kinds of options on the Mesa as well.
The lake is beautiful. Good fishing- or if you prefer to Kayak or paddle board its very quiet.
The restaurant on site is only open 11-3 on select days. I was told it is a labor shortage so don't depend on it for breakfast or dinner meals or happy hour. The only place close is a great Pizza place in Colbran.

Beautiful views, best seemed to be from sites 7 and up. Bit far from town so definitely stock up beforehand and signal is basically non-existent (which we like).

This campsite is in a beautiful area of Colorado right down the street from Vega State Park. There is a lodge and a restaurant as well. One drawback is that I was unable to get cell phone service and my wfi hotspot couldn't get a signal at my campsite. Fortunately, I was able to find a little cove down the street that was part of the state park where I was able to get both cell phone and internet, but I had to get a park pass to park there.

Incredible lake views and views of the Grand Mesa. Easy access to off road trails, fishing, and hiking. Site was easy to access and hook up was simple. Very quiet and serene. Enjoyed lunch at the lodge and Kristy was great to communicate with prior to our visit and lovely in person. We will be back!

Great spot. Very far and remote from everything Which is great if that’s what you’re looking for. Nature is wonderful and trail is very close by.

Great views overlooking the lake. RV area is a large looped parking lot but nicely outfitted with with concrete pads, electricity, water and sewer dumps at each site. Restaurant at the Vega Lodge is very nice and the people are wonderful.

Lovely Lake Views
This was a nice place. The Lodge and Kristy were delightful. My main drawback was that it was so far removed from anything. For people wanting to get away from it all, it would be fine. The drive to any town was long and windy.

Beautiful location but not much to do except spend money. The campsite and cabins are owned by the lodge below which has a restaurant but there’s not much else to do nearby unless you’re willing to drive quite a bit. Kind of feels like a snow globe. Also although we planned ahead for cold, rainy weather a storm unexpectedly rolled through. We didn’t mind the heavy rain, the cold, or the lightning and thunder but the wind of 16+ mph nearly blew away our well staked tent and we held the poles down for 40 minutes until there was a break when we packed up the site since it was forecasted to last through the night and into the next two days. We drove home through the crazy weather and the storm affected all the way to Salt Lake City where we live. Reached out to the owner and they have a zero tolerance policy so no refund will be issued (even though the circumstances were really dangerous) so obviously only book this place if you are 100% confident the weather will be work in your favor. Wish I could return with friends and family but after a terrible response and a complete lack of concern for the well-being of its customers from Kristy Im steering clear of here.

The campground is set on a hill overlooking the Vega Lake. Our site 11 had a great view of the much-diminished lake; all the boat ramps were closed. There are no showers and you may not use the facilities at the state park. The hill leading to the campground is lined with multiple rental cabins, and at the bottom of the hill is a restaurant and bar where guests check in. We had no cellular service, and the host does not offer connection to their wifi network. We enjoyed lunch on the restaurant's back deck with flocks of hummingbirds.

Was really looking forward to our long weekend at Lovely Lake Views, however due to road closures beyond our control, we couldn't make it. When I called 4 days prior to arrival, I was told that we might be able to get back 50% of our camping fees, however that was denied with a returned phone call from the camp site you a strict policy. All State parks and other public camping offer a partial refund with just a few days advance notice. Disappointed they don't under any circumstance!

What a fantastic hidden gem this place is! Talk about serenity!!! Don’t hesitate - just book & go! The views are AMAZING!!! You won’t regret it!!!! And Vega Lodge right below has amazing food! Kristy is a great communicator so no worries there either! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Lovely Lake Views and Vega Lodge were AWESOME! It was so peaceful, lots of space, great lake access, and awesome campers staying at the location. We will definitely be back!

We were beyond pleasantly surprised with just the all around experience at Vega Lake! Small campground, fairly remote location, beautiful views, restaurant and small store on site, and tiny town a few miles away for more supplies if needed. Exactly what we were looking for. We loved walking down at the lake and going to the restaurant for happy hour and/or a meal. We love camping too, but it’s nice to have the option. And full hook up sites at a beautiful location for $40/night? Can’t be beat! Thank you!

The view was awesome. The only negative comment that I do have is that you have to take your trash to the state park to properly dispose of. For what you pay, I feel that this should be included

What an awesome place to camp. The views are amazing and the hosts are very accommodating. The only issue (which in reality is not an issue) is that the venue is actually called Vega Lodge and not Lovely Lake View. As long as your able to figure this out you will definitely enjoy your stay.
