Lone Duck Campground sits just outside the city lights of Colorado Springs at the base of Pikes Peak, at an elevation of 7,600 feet. Our prime location puts us within a short distance of the many beautiful Colorado attractions. This makes us an ideal stop for families looking for a summer adventure or folks just passing through for a couple of days. We strive to make every stay a special experience. The host are amazing and super friendly. They are on top of keeping the campground clean. The river next to the camp is just loud enough to hear and not over bearing. The spacing between each camp site is perfect. The facilities are amazing and the hot water is just perfect. Would totally return and encourage others to go.

Such a lovely and peaceful spot. Perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel or sneaking away for a short getaway. My husband and I really appreciated how clean everything was, and the hot showers were wonderful!

Staff was friendly and helpful, cabin was basic and comfortable. Good value for the money. The bathrooms were.. fine. Kids loved the pool which was an unexpected amenity. The arcade was filled with of classic arcade games but unfortunately many were out of service because, well, they were 30-40 years old. Lone Duck was comfortable, people were quiet and respectful, and overall completely adequate.

Nice campsite with many amenities finishing pond, the arcade game room, playground, pool etc. The pinball game is really good. I had good time with my kid. However the campsites are over crowded. Drive way is narrow. Have to drive through the playground to the campsite with many kids running around. Not easy to park the RV without additional guide. My campsite sewer is like three feet away from next campsite’s bbq pit. If you don’t mind, then this place to good for you.

We enjoyed our stay. It’s a very family friendly campground, with the pool, arcade, and fishing pond. It’s also close to groceries, and things to do. Staff was nice, it was easy to get to and they sell some helpful items in their store.

intimate but welcoming tent camping

Lone Duck was a welcoming place to land after long day on the road. It really has everything you need and more. I was surprised at first at how close the tent camping sites were, but I think because of this neighboring groups were really respectful and consolidated to their sites. We went with our toddler and felt really comfortable. Notes: the trees above the tent campground release a sticky rain-like sap on everything below (car, tent, gear) thankfully we left after it rained so it loosened some of it, but it added a not so great layer to clean-up. It is all gravel ground so be prepared to have a difficult time staking. Recommend bringing a separate pop-up tent to put over your table/cooking area in case of rain/protect your stuff from the sap.

Loved this campsite! Stream on one side amd fishing pond on the other. Used the laundry and the Arcade was awesome!!! They had hot coffee in the morning. Did not use the pool, bit looked nice.

It’s a cute little campground, even though it’s next to the highway, and the neighboring rooster crows all morning, I would 100% recommend. The fishing was good, all of the staff was kind and helpful, and I would definitely recommend giving the pinball machines a go!

The views to get to this campground is beautiful. The atmosphere was very quite and other campers were so polite. The cabins are clean . They provided firewood for us to purchase which was really nice. Clean bathrooms and shower areas. Would definitely stay there again . Loved our stay ❤️

Overall the campground and individual site were fine. However, it was in a circle of other tent sites and right in front of two cabins. On the other side of the small creek are RVs so there was really no privacy. The area was rocky so make sure you bring a mat of some sort. We did not have any issues with check-in and there is a camp store if you forget something. The showers were hot, however, they were flooded when we arrived and left water in the entire bathroom causing it to get shut down for part of our stay. Also just not the cleanest facilities in general. There was also an incident with a topless older woman which I hope is not a staple of this campground but just our misfortune. There were A LOT of kids which would not bother me but they were screaming well past quiet hours and running through our campsite, even with an open fire. The campground is also right off the highway so you will get street noise all night. There are no bear lockers either. So if you don't mind noise and want to come in a large group you're in the right spot. But if you want privacy, clean facilities, and respected quiet hours, I recommend you keep looking.

My car battery died overnight while we were staying here at Lone Duck Campground. Without hesitation, the gentleman at the desk came to give us a jump and made sure we were good. Great hosts. The amenities were awesome too. They offer free coffee in the morning, free showers, a swimming pool, fishing, and even an old school arcade. Great spot to camp, especially if you have children. The only thing I have to mention is that the sites are very small and close together but overall we loved our stay and will be back!
