Open the tent doors and take in the awe-inspiring views the Arkansas River Valley and the wide-open pastures of a working ranch. Nestled in the trees on the edge of beautiful ranch pastures, enjoy solitude bliss on this 160-acre ranch. 10 minutes from Salida, 15 minutes from Monarch Mountain, 25 minutes from Buena Vista, 40 min from Mt. Antero Trailhead, 1.5 hours from Great Sand Dunes National Park, 2.5 hours from Denver. The campsite features a 12' x 14' canvas cabin tent built on a deck platform, with a cozy Queen bed, bar dining table, storage cabinet and convenient bucket toilet. The exterior space has a picnic table, propane fire pit and 2 comfy Adirondack chairs for you to relax and take in the views. Additional Guests are welcome to put a blow up mattress on the floor or set up another pop-up tent outside. The ranch is pet-friendly, we welcome your furry companions but they must be leashed at all times. The prime location is perfect for exploring all the world-class recreational opportunities of the Arkansas River Valley. Whether seeking tranquility or adventure, Here Below Ranch provides a perfect blend of natural beauty and comfort. NEARBY ACTIVITIES: * White Water Rafting * Hiking * Canoeing and Kayaking * Mountain Biking * Hunting * Horseback Riding * Road Biking * Fishing * Rock Climbing * Off-roading * Dining The glamping sites are completely off the grid, without water or electricity. Because of the remote location, we operate them as “self service”. This means no cleaning fees, however, guests are required to bring their own bedding and drinking water. Additionally, guests will need to clean the site and remove their trash before checking out. Please be aware that we do operate another tent rental site on the property, however, they are nicely spaced out from one another. We ask that you be respectful of other guest’s areas and keep noise to a minimum so everyone can enjoy the solitude out there.

14er Basecamp: Glamping in Salida-1

Good distance to/from Salida, while also feeling “off the grid”. Great views of the surrounding peaks. Suggest bringing warm layers for the cooler evenings and a warm comforter. Our dog prefers sleeping in his crate and the tent is big enough to setup in the corner. Recommend checking it out. Thank you!

Nice set up for a weekend away

Nice set up close enough to town but not too close that you're in the mix. We stayed here as our homes base for Salida's bike fest weekend and worked out great.

Beautiful night under the stars

This place worked well for what I was looking for. The tent is spacious and features a queen bed, a table, and a toilet (with a trash bag that you will need to take with you). The anarondak chairs are very comfortable and perfect for stargazing. There is not a lot of light pollution, so the stars are wonderful! You will need to bring all of your camping supplies with you, as it is more of a bare-bones spot, but plenty of space to set up a "kitchen" inside the tent, or outside on the picnic table. It's about 14 minutes from Salida, which is convenient. The owner has a good packing list and advice- I would follow it. Mainly, temperatures can drop significantly at night in this climate, so be sure to bring warm clothes and blankets. My pup and I had a relaxing evening.
