The Off Family Ranch has been in the same family for nearly 150 years. In its early years, it was a farm and ranch, powered mostly by horses, with a variety of crops and animals grown for consumption. As the years wore on and shifts in technology and agriculture came it went, today the ranch is a 'cow-calf' operation where mama cows have their babies year after year. Another essential part of what we do is growing hay for the winter, so while the cows and calves are in the mountains during the summer, we are busy growing and harvesting hay for the winter. Now in its 4th generation, David runs the operation along with help from Keri and the up and coming 5th generation, Ryder. We have a deep gratitude for the land and water and feel a responsibility to manage it well for all life, above and below the ground, with the intention of harmony for the many creatures who rely on the health of this landscape.

Magic Meadow Cabin

Cow watching to stargazing

From cow watching to stargazing you’ll definitely stay entertained at the Magic Meadow cabin. The property has character everywhere you look, and if you’re brave enough to use the PP plank in the middle of the night, you’ll gain a new appreciation for those who came before us. The bed is comfortable and we greatly enjoy the location and solitude. Also, the hosts were very hospitable and accommodating.

Nature Lovers Delight

Magic Meadow Cabin is aptly named-the views from the sunroom are stunning and watching the birds fly back and forth from their perches while sipping a morning cup of coffee was the the best way to start the day. After sufficient caffeination the cabin's proximity to numerous exceptional trails and mountain towns makes it the perfect jumping off point for adventure. Once you've had your fill of the day, retiring to the cozy cabin in the meadow to enjoy the setting sun by a fire is something to look forward to. Once the sun has set the stars come out in full force. We were grateful for the opportunity to recharge in a relaxing nature setting full of life.

Magic Meadow Cabin

Spent 4 great days at Keri and David’s. They are wonderful hosts and the cabin was exactly what we expected. We got some delicious steaks and burger meat from the farm. Highly recommend! Spend the days going for a hike, paddle boarding, (insert Colorado activity) and come back to spend the night around a campfire staring at the stars.
