A unique, fun camping experience!
Karen and Dave had a great place to camp with a picnic table! Their alpacas were very fun to watch and interact with. Our hosts were very friendly, communicative and inviting! They had games available for use and a snack/drink section available for purchase. Their home is easy to find and not far from the city in either direction. We really enjoyed our time on their land and loved watching the stars!

Perfect for animal lovers!
Staying at Symphony Fibers Alpaca Farm was one of our most unique camping experiences. We arrived in the afternoon and received a warm welcome from one of our hosts, Karen. The property was on a spacious farm about an hour or so from Denver with roaming chickens, dogs and alpacas. Neighboring properties had goats and horses! We played a few of the lawn games provided by the hosts and then grabbed dinner at Little Valley Smokehouse, a cute BBQ place nearby. We got back to camp just in time for a fantastic tour of the alpaca farm during feeding time! We helped feed the chickens and gave treats to the alpacas, and watched a beautiful sunset in the valley. Dave and Karen shared so many wonderful stories of raising these animals, and we came away with great memories and a nagging desire to get a few of our own alpacas someday!

Dave and Karen were super welcoming hosts of their lovely homestead. Happy free-range chickens greeted me, and Dave and Karen let me join feeding time with the alpacas (and their babies!). The high level of care and consideration Dave and Karen provide was lovely to experience. Nice stargazing as well!

Great Place!
Great place to stay! The hosts are very nice and gave a great tour of the property. They also have a fridge stocked with snacks as well as some games and books, which was a nice little touch. The farm is in a good location, as there are some small towns nearby and it is not too far from Denver. We would highly recommend staying here...it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Great stay
Dave and Karen were immensely gracious hosts, with both their time and the extra bits of care they put into making this an experience, not just an overnight camping space. The facilities clean and well maintained, the space was level and private, the porta-a-potty provided was very clean, and the animals really make this a treat. They also have an area where you can use cell phone chargers, play lawn games, and buy treats. We also highly recommend the farm sampler package they sell too! Both hosts checked in to make sure there wasn’t anything they could do for us, which we appreciated. Our advice is to make sure you are around at feeding time for the animals! It was a great time!

This was by far the best HipCamp we ever stayed at:)) Owners Karen and Dave were so awesome, and their little farm of Alpacas, chickens, dogs, were awesome:)) My husband booked the night because he knew I love Alpacas and it turned out to be the best time ever. We even ended up with eggs from the chickens and I bought an Alpaca beanie for myself (super cute). Karen and Dave answered all my questions about the Alpacas, I loved and learned so much:)) Property is beautiful, clean, with an awesome sunset/ full moon evening. Definitely will be going back:))

Incredible Experience!!
Dave and Karen were incredible hosts! The communication was excellent and getting settled was easy! Their property was gorgeous… the views are stunning (be sure to watch the sunset, stay up late to view stars with little light pollution and wake up early for the sunrise!!). The alpacas, chickens and pups are the best!! Karen and Dave spent over and hour with us sharing about their journey to raising alpacas and answering any and all questions we had! We were sad to leave and I can definitely see going back. I highly recommend purchasing the package of alpaca dryer balls, homemade jam and soap! My daughter also bought farm fresh eggs! So yummy!! Additionally, I wanted to say how kind this family is. As it turns out, I dropped my debit card on heir property. They reached out to let me know they had it (what a relief!!) so that I could grab it from them. For a first hipcamp experience, it was truly a memorable one! Don’t hesitate to stay here! The location looks out of the way, but is the most gorgeous drive to both Denver and Colorado Springs!!

Dave and Karen are the coolest! My boyfriend and I camped here and had a lovely time. They are so sweet and accommodating- they offered an outlet for charging and cables (amazing to have after a week of camping), and introduced us to their lovely dogs and alpacas! This was an amazing experience and we will have to stop back by next time we are in the Denver area. Thank you Dave and Karen!!

A must stay! Alpaca fun!
What an amazing place. Gorgeous property, friendly hosts, and plenty of alpacas and chickens to entertain the kids. Camping site is perfect. No sewer but they have water, electric, and the cleanest portapotty as backup. You wont be disappointed, thats for sure. If we are ever back in the area we'd stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Dave and Karen for being such great hosts. Our best to you and the barnyard animals.

Baby Alpacas and Peaceful evening!
Symphony Fibers property, Dave, Karen, their two loving and protective dogs, the alpacas and chickens made our last minute camping trip so memorable! As an added bonus 3 baby alpacas were born the day we were there. Beautiful area and so much fun to step into another lifestyle for a day! Highly recommend. the porta potty was also the cleanest one I have ever been in ;)

What More Could You Ask For?
So I liked this farm so much I stayed here twice in two weeks. The campsite is great! The sunset, the games, the little library and of course the alpacas are too cute. One of the best things was the refrigerator of "camp canteen" snacks, drinks and ice cream. Karen and Dave are as sweet as pie and will tell you all of the funny ups and downs of running an Alpaca Farm in Colorado.

4th of July stay
Dave and Karen were gracious and thoughtful hosts. They spent a great deai of their precious evening explaining to my wife and me the many-faceted alpaca farming operation that is obviously close to their hearts. The campsite is minutes away from grocery, hardware store, etc, yet manages to feel wild and remote.

We loved staying with Karen and Dave! They were really friendly and made us feel most welcome. What we liked best about our stay was our interaction with Alpacas and the extreme passion Karen and Dave had about them; it was heartwarming to see their interaction with the Alpacas and how much they were willing to share their knowledge and experience with us. They also had a couple of amazing dogs (we met two of the friendliest Great Pyreneese-mixes, Winston and Piper, and a couple of cute chickens!). Also, a great place for going on bike rides. We would certainly come back to visit them again as soon as we can!

Dave and Karen were great hosts. We arrived later than expected and they still both took the time to welcome us, show us the animals, and answer our questions about their alpacas and chickens. We even got to feed the alpacas some pellets! The campsite was spacious and private. The port-a-potty was very clean. The landscape was incredibly peaceful and beautiful. We’d definitely stay again!

Great hosts!
We had a really nice stay at this alpaca farm. We set up tent in a nearby pasture and had use of the amenities available. There is a restroom available, picnic table, lawn games, and even wifi! Dave and Karen are wonderful hosts. They made us feel comfortable and welcome. They take you on a tour of the farm at feeding time. It's great to meet all of the different animals. They take time to answer all of your questions and let you interact with the alpacas. The alpacas are so incredibly cute! We enjoyed our evening in the tent and Karen even checked on us because there had been a lightning storm. I thought that was just so nice of her. I would recommend this site top other campers!

We absolutely loved our stay at Dave and Karen’s farm and plan to return next summer (or earlier) to greet our favorite alpacas and their babies. Dave and Karen could not have been kinder sharing their land and alpaca and chicken knowledge with us. An extra bonus was the sunset and a view of the night sky, as if they cued all the shooting stars we saw just for us! It was such a special trip for us and our kids. Highly recommend!
