Terrible, would not recommend !
We stayed here 1 night. When I asked to make the reservation I mentioned we have a little travel trailer. We usually stay at tent sites since we don’t need to be hooked up. The reservation was accepted and when we arrived at the end of the day we found out it wasn’t possible to put the trailer on the tent site. I tried contacting the owner several times and left a message, we never heard back. There is a small pullout at the side of the road (a muddy mountain road) and that’s where we parked. We didn’t fully fit on the pullout so the trailer was sticking out. It’s a dead-end road with a chain closed to a private road. We were worried the owner would come by to use the road but they didn’t. The surroundings are not pretty. Across from the pullout is a large propane tank and below the road is a construction site. The tent site could use some work as well. I would not recommend staying here. Ot ended up raining the night we were there and it was a muddy mess. We basically paid for a muddy pullout on the road. I took photos of the location but I’m still traveling and can try and upload them at a later point.

The place was nice other than the creepy solar powered surveillance camera on a tree trunk pointed directly at the campsite. Host had to come around to move her car which was no big deal, but was incredibly standoffish and not the least bit welcoming. Nice place but strange vibes.

We had a great stay at Dani's campsite. There's a really nice picnic table, firepit with a cook grill, and the ground is fairly level. The views across a valley to Mt Evans are exceptional. And Dani communicated easy. Not drawbacks necessarily, but you should know: There are neighbors. This isn't secluded. But it's SUPER quiet and felt private. Also, the site is situated in the side of hill, and you park your car a bit down the road, so if there are any mobility issues not the best choice. Thanks, Dani!

If you are looking for a place close to the city to get away for a day or two, this place works. Only about 45 mins from Lakewood. Very nice campfire area with comfy chairs and a picnic table are all ready to go. It is not a big space though - you might be able to fit two tents, but it would be pretty tight depending on tent size. And there is not any room to park any size of trailer. There is just enough room to park a vehicle or two, but no way a trailer would work.

Nice and simple getaway!
The site was nice! I was so happy to have a last minute option. It is a site that his been leveled out of the side of the hill behind someone's home in a gorgeous mtn neighborhood. The views are great and it is really peaceful up there. They have a fire ring set up with 5-6 chairs around it, and a picnic table, bench, and some solar string lights that come on in the evening which is a nice touch. It seems to be a setup for when they have extra visitors at their home. There is a blind built between the site and the house next door, but the owner's (i think?) house is across the driveway w no blind. The only reservation I had about this was the toilet situation. Obviously they don't want people going on their property, so we brought a toilet setup for ourselves but there is really nowhere to put it and have any secure privacy, because there is private property on each side of the site and also a sign that says security cameras are in use around the host's home. So just be aware of that. Otherwise it was a great little getaway from the city for the evening! Had a couple deer wander by in the morning while we enjoyed our coffee.
