A-frame # 3 Size 6x8-8x10
Great time!
We had a great time at the a-frame, #3! The frame is larger than the pictures seemed and it has a Full sized bed on a frame in the back. It was really nice to be able to lock up our stuff in the a-frame while we were hiking, as opposed to re-packing the car like we usually do for car-camping. The road up definitely needs a 4-wheel drive to be able to get up confidently. The port-a-potty was clean.

What an amazing place!!
Idaho Springs is already Utopia, and then you get to camp here! I stayed about a week and saw elk and deer. Rick, the camping host is great and communicative. Reviews are correct that you can hear the highway, but I work remotely and need the wifi connection, so it's perfect. And it's so close to town, while still being up in the mountains with gorgeous views. You don't need 4 wheel drive like some of the reviews say, but you do need to punch it to get up the hill if your a small SUV, and I saw a sedan do it too. Going to stay here again for sure!

Base camp C-1
It was super clean and well maintained, the privacy was perfect and had a great Mountain View! You can barely hear any traffic despite it being conveniently located off I-70, absolutely gorgeous spot and would come again!

Rick is very hospitable
The camping spots are fairly easy to get to being not too far from Idaho Springs. Rick was very responsive and answered all my questions. It was clean, and there is good hiking nearby. My only drawback is being able to hear traffic noise from the road/highway nearby.

Base camp C-3
The camping space was private, had a great overlook into the valley and located right off 70, down the street from gas stations, a coffeeshop and some fastfood options. My AWD vehicle struggled at first to get to the top, but it was pretty heavy so I think another AWD vehicle would get there just fine. It was unclear where the bathrooms were based on the signage.
