This land was inhabited by the Ancient Anasazi and Pueblo people. The Anasazi Heritage Museum and archeological ruins are two miles away. There are ruins and sites on this land that have yet to be excavated. Many different ancient people came through this land, left and sites were inhabited by other people. One group of people would come and build upon the sites of another group, and taking part of their culture with them.

These are TENT sites. You bring your own tent, camping gear, and personal items. You will have access to a clubhouse a little further away for toilets and showers apx 200 feet. The sites are on the backend of the campground, accessed by a gravel road, along the canyon. There is vegetation, trees, rocks and wildlife. In the distance there is glimpse of a state highway and a few houses. Otherwise, it is pretty secluded from the rest of the park. You won't be able to see the RV side of the park from the sites. This area was inhabited by the ancient Anasazi and Pueblo people. There are ruins and artifacts all throughout this area. Sites are Located on CIRCLE C RV Park & Campground in Dolores, Colorado. The campground is near the Anasazi Heritage Center, Dolores, Cortez, Mesa Verde, Mcphee Reservoir, Boggy Draw Biking Trail System, hiking trailheads and the Dolores River. There are 5 designated TENT Sites. The BEAR Tent site is the closest to the clubhouse LION is furthest away with a hammock. Names of the tent sites are: 1. BEAR 2. ELK 3. DEER 4. EAGLE 5. LION in order of distance from the gravel road entrance. You can have the best of both worlds, seclusion and amenities nearby if you want them.

I arrived after dark and left the next morning so I didn’t get much time to explore, but I was quite pleased. The tent sites were beautiful and well maintained. The bunkhouse was a nice feature to be able to use the bathroom, boil some water for my nighttime tea and I found it very clean. My only complaint would be that the tent sites were not marked at all. The road to get to the sites is very clearly marked and they’re easy to find, but once you’re there, it is not clear which site is which. In fact, I’m pretty sure I used the wrong one, which wasn’t a big deal because no one else was camping, but on a busy night this could be a pretty big inconvenience if someone is adamant about having the exact site they paid for and you accidentally setup in the wrong one. All in all, lovely experience and I would highly recommend!

The location was very easy to find, the sites were easy to navigate, and the clubhouse was clean and comfortable! The tent sites were primitive and secluded from the RV sites and clubhouse for a more intimate experience!

Cozy Campground Cabin
As the previous review stated, the water was not on. I don’t think this is necessarily a problem since it is completely understandable for the winter, I just think this should be communicated. We didn’t have a problem with the stove, although we couldn’t figure out the heater. We followed the instructions but no luck, that could have been user error though. The past review also instilled a sense of worry over whether the bedding was clean or not. The sheets were camo so I couldn’t tell and that did stick with me. Overall, it is a convenient, low cost stay for people looking to explore in the area. They do provide a considerable amount of amenities and for anyone who has been on the go and roughing it, it’s pretty luxurious. I just wish that that previous review and the issues it brought up would have been responded to/addressed before our visit. Thank you to the hosts regardless!

Cozy Campground Cabin
While we enjoyed staying at this hipcamp, there were issues that need to be addressed. Pros: - Location! 25 minutes from entrance to Mesa Verde NP. 5 min from canyons of the ancient. The site itself has a great view of the mesa and the mountains. - hot showers in the shared lodge. Good temperature and pressure. - kitchen in the shared lodge is stocked with cooking equipment. - bottom full bed of the bunk bed mattress was a very comfortable Cons: - major issue of lack of communication with the camp host (picture 1) 1. When we arrived there was dirty sheets on the bed, I reached out to the host and never heard back. Luckily I found clean sheets in a drawer. (Picture 2) 2. The cabin was supposed to have a propane stove. We could not figure out how to use the stove, and when I reached out to the host, I never heard anything back. Thankfully we had our own camping stove and had use of the shared kitchen to cook. However we stayed 2 nights and never heard back from the host. 3. The cabin is supposed to have running water (cold only). When we arrived the water was turned off but I figured out how to turn it on from outside. However, the pipe was leaking a lot and due to the proximity of the extension cord, we kept the water off. (Picture 3) Thankfully we were prepared either way, but it was disappointing that we were not able to use the stove and water In the cabin, as that way a big part of the reason I booked this Hipcamp.

I hurt my back the day before i was to arrive. Because of that, I was not able to make my reservation. So I cant a review about the camping, however I can give a great review on how easy it was to book on line and I installed the app and was able to communicate with the staff. Just hoping now that I can still get a refund .

Upon arrival at the campsite in Dolores, Colorado, we encountered some confusion regarding the location of our designated tent site, number 3 Deer, due to the absence of clear signage. Initially, we were informed that the owners would provide assistance by one camper, but subsequently, we were told that they were out of state in California and advised to select an alternative site by another camper, which raised concerns about potential scheduling conflicts; But no one claimed the new site we were in and had a wonderful time being out in nature. We did wish we could have a campfire but we were not allowed to due to a fire ban. Overall, I think more effective tent site signage would have been an improvement, but the picturesque town of Dolores, Colorado, made it a worthwhile experience.

I really enjoyed my time at Circle C. The spots are very big—I was able to set up my gear tent and my camp office (I telework) and still have plenty of space. The view from Lion is 🔥🔥🔥!

I stayed at Circle C RV Park for one night at a tent camping site. The tent sites were not labeled and even with the map it took me a few minutes to make sure I was in the correct spot becuase my site was mushed together with another. Other than that, I had no issues. The clubhouse had two nice showers and a great kitchen that was well stocked.

Great location and amenities! The bathrooms were clean and the shower had great pressure. Not far from the campsite either. Campsites weren't marked so well but if you look at the map on the clubhouse door its easy enough to find. Hosts were not responsive so be prepared for that but overall, great site.

Just as described. I got extra linens. I didn't use them as what was provided was enough. Top bunk is an air mattress. Bottom bunk is a nice pillow top queen l.

Great place!! Awesome views and the clubhouse was an amazing addition!! The only little issue was that the tent sites themselves were not labeled so we had to take our best guess which one was ours.

We really loved our experience at circle c. We packed a tent and had a great time. The owner? Lana was super nice when I had to call and ask which site was the one I reserved (my fault I'm horrible at directions). The clubhouse and laundry were both very clean and cared for. I would definitely stay here again when out this way. My only two suggestions were to have the tent sites a bit more individually clearly marked and to have the washer and dryer card operated as well as change but other than that this place is a gem.

Cozy Campground Cabin
The Cozy Cabin was perfect for our trip to Mesa Verde NP. We were traveling with our dog, who enjoyed the fenced-in space to run around, and we enjoyed having the cooking facilities in the cabin. Overall, this was a great stay!

The cabin was very cozy! Having no hot water was no problem because we were able to boil some water on the stove to do dishes, so don't let that stop you :) Overall the entire site is very nicely taken care of, the clubhouse bathrooms seemed to be cleaned pretty frequently, and it's very quiet at the cabin. Super relaxing, I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking at staying in the area

Great size with beautiful view of valley (#5 Lion). Was nice to have a picnic table there. Clubhouse access was a huge benefit ro be able to have acces to bathroom and kitchen to wash dishes. Unfortunately it was quite windy so we packed up quick in the morning.

Pros: Ease of booking Proximity to Mesa Verde Some information and instructions about arrival Picnic bench Cons: Unable to locate campsite in the dark. The campsite signs are unreadable and placed underneath trees. There was no information, key codes, or contact person to access the bathrooms and clubhouse. The amenities were unavailable and no one answered the phone Someone was parked in our campsite (probably because there wasn’t a visible campsite sign from the road and they may have thought it was overflow parking. It’s nearly impossible to check in after sunset and find the camping spots. The markers are hidden under trees away from the road. (Lion) Dogs were barking alllllll night long. That part was terrible; in addition to not having clubhouse, water, bathroom access.

The clubhouse is really nice, the camping spot had a great view and a nice juniper tree. There’s a bit of bad dip by the site but my Corolla handled it fine.
