This 320 acre ranch was first established in 1926 with my family moving here in the late 1930's after the great depression. It still has many old implements around for tours and maybe just maybe you can drive them. A small flushing toilet is in the old office trailer and usable when needed.  Now accepting monthly stays. Prairie view offers extremely secluded areas for tents, RV's or sleep by the fire. Wake up to a herd of antelope or cattle grazing and explore 60 years of antique machinery on tour or ride along to feed the animals.Overnight stays for travelers using a travel trailer installed at the campsite. Unit has most of the amenities as home including Queen size bed with fresh sheets and pillowcases, restroom and shower. The electric water heater is the only one running right now and a little slow! 20 minutes of driving can save a lot over city hotels - serving State highways 34 and 36.

Secluded and cool
I arrived late in the evening and left early in the am. I didn't get to see the many features of this camp. NIck was gracious enough to come out and check on me as I was getting settled in the only spot where the scrubby grass wasn't too tall. The plot had plenty of room, but in the dark it was hard to make out the lay of the land. It was a little out of the way from the 70 going toward Denver, but the GPS coordinates take you exactly to the property, and you get some of that time back by getting the 70 as it comes to meet up with the 36. In all, a well spent $13 for a good nights' sleep after a long day of driving.

The morning view was awesome! Lots of flowers and some very cool old cars. Booked the day of for camping and it worked out well.
