AIYM Camp is an amazing place; I highly recommend it. It’s a beautiful setting, every aspect of the facilities is in amazing condition, clean, functional and seems brand new. But, what really made our stay special was the hospitality of Jim and Melony. The are so warm and welcoming, giving us insight about the valley and activities in the area. This is a special place that we plan on returning to. I give it my highest recommendation.

Site 3 - Tent Camping in the Alamosa Canyon!
We had an incredible experience tent camping at AIYM Ranch! Jim & Melony were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. They checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything and made us feel very welcome. We had forgotten a few items at home, but they were kind enough to provide what we needed without any hesitation. The campsite itself was in fantastic shape, located right by the river with plenty of trees and space for various activities. The restrooms and showers were very clean. There was a picnic table available, and we enjoyed building our own fire pit. My wife and kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The giant field on the property was a huge hit; we were able to fly kites and play frisbee. The natural scenery around the ranch couldn’t be prettier. We felt very safe throughout our stay, and the cleanliness of the campsite was impressive. Finding and accessing the campsite was straightforward thanks to the clear directions provided by the owners. Parking was convenient and ample, with easy access from our vehicle to the campsite. A highlight of our stay was the ranch’s proximity to several passes located in the Rio Grande National Forest, offering unbelievable views. I highly recommend visiting these spots for anyone staying at the ranch. Overall, our experience at AIYM Ranch was extremely positive, and we look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful camping experience.

Never seen as beautiful land as this campground in my life. I’ve also never met anyone as kind and helpful as Jim and Melony. It was a beautiful campground with a cold river running through it that made for a perfect view to wake up to every morning.

I don’t even know where to begin……Our stay with Jim & Melony was beyond amazing! From the moment we arrived to our unexpected shortened stay, they went above & beyond to accommodate our family and the other families that were staying as well. They were very attentive to any needs of everyone staying and even went as far as watching our puppy when we had to make an unexpected trip to the ER for a broken arm- by far the BEST hosts and place to stay- they deserve more than 5 stars!!!

AIYM Camp Riverfront Family Cabin!
Jim and Melony are excellent hosts who provided many suggestions for activities in and around the campground. Our group especially enjoyed the river tubing available on-site. The cabins are well-maintained and clean, and we will definitely visit again.

My family and I were absolutely blown away by our stay at the AIYM camp out in gorgeous Alamosa Canyon. Jim and Melony made us feel like family from the minute we arrived. The cabins were beautiful and the entire camp was so incredibly maintained. I love the mission of the camp and would recommend everyone I know to come and experience this gem inside Alamosa Canyon!

We LOVE camping here! Driving to the camp we were a bit nervous because all we could see was farm land. Once you hit the dirt road, everything changes. Hidden behind the hills is the most amazing spot! The views were incredible. Jim and Melony keep the grounds in incredible condition. They were the best people too! We got in late, and Jim had a fire ready for us at our site. We felt totally safe and completely immersed in nature. The river is gorgeous, however the fishing isn’t great. Keep in mind if you want to fish, you will need to drive a little. Also, you are pretty far from town. Come with what you need so that you don’t need to leave. On Sunday, there is a church service on the property. It was fun to meet people from the community. This was by far our favorite campsite. It will be a regular spot for us in the years to come!

Cabin Rentals in the Alamosa Canyon
Jim and Melony are wonderful hosts. Their hospitality is so amazing! They run a great camp, the cabins are clean and comfortable, the location is absolutely beautiful! The bathhouse is well maintained and very clean. We loved that the river runs along the site. There is a beautiful outdoor church in the middle of God’s great beauty. We arrived a little too late for services and hope to attend next time we are out there. We will definitely be back and will definitely recommend to friends and family. The easiest way there is to take highway 15 south from Monte Vista and turn right on FF 350 across from the steel business and keep on going. The site is about 4.5 miles west of Terrace Reservoir and just past the Alamosa campground. Do not rely on GPS because there is no digital signal in the canyon. Once you arrive, you will be in paradise. ❤️

Alamosa River Campsites & Cabins!
AIYM is just a truly beautiful place with the best hosts! The campsite is on a really lovely piece of land, up the road a bit from the larger (and really nice) AIYM camp. The hosts have water and a black water drain and even a stocked trout pond right over the hill from the campsite. Listening to the river run while I slept was the best cure for a hectic week. I can’t wait to come back!

If i had known how wonderful this place was we would have stayed longer. Wonderful hosts and very friendly. Our dog had a blast. Well 2orth the drive into the place. We will be back.

Traveled 4 hours from Colorado Springs and couldn’t be any happier. There couldn’t be two better hosts. They were incredibly welcoming! The property was absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to come back with some friends!
